Edwards EnterpriseOne error message system provides a consistent interface to review batch application errors. You can set up batch applications to send messages to users when processing is complete. These messages include the
Jde Error Codes
success or failure of the batch job and notification when information is jd edwards error messages incorrectly entered into the system. To enhance the usability of the messages, the system uses a tree structure (or parent/child
Jde Error Message Table
structure) to group related messages. You can create two types of error messages for batch applications: Non-text substituted Text substituted A non-text substituted error message provides a high-level indication that an error text substitution error message jde exists in the batch application. For example, Document number is invalid. You can use text substitution messages to provide additional information regarding errors. For example, rather than the Document number is invalid error message, the message can instead state Document number 55.5555 is invalid. You can also include a link to the associated interactive application in the message. This type of message is referred to oracle support as an active error message. The user can open the associated interactive application from the link that is attached to the message. Error messages appear in the Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Work Center (P012503) application after the batch job has completed. When you create custom batch error messages, determine what information Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne users require. For example, you might create a number of different messages that are generated when a journal entry report is run. You can create a message stating that the report completed successfully when the report data is in balance. Additionally, you can create multiple levels of messages that describe various errors if the report is out of balance. The first level might state that the report completed with errors while additional levels explain the specific details regarding the errors. 32.2 Setting Up Batch Error Messages This section provides overviews of level break messages, level break message components, and work center APIs, provides sample source code, lists the prerequisites, and discusses how to: Create data items for level break messages. Create business function data structures. Create level break message business functions. Call the work center initialization AP
8.4, "Using Text Substitution to Display Specific Error Messages" Section 8.5, "Mapping Data Structure Errors with jdeCallObject" 8.1 Understanding Error Messages Messages provide an effective and usable method of communicating information to end-users. You can use simple messages or text substitution messages. Text substitution messages provide specific information to the user. At runtime, the system replaces variables in the message with substitution values. Two types of text substitution messages exist: Error messages (glossary group E) Workflow messages (glossary group Y) The return code from all JDB and JDE Cache APIs must be checked and an appropriate error message set, returned, or https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24705_01/doc.91/e24249/def_batch_error_messgs.htm both to the calling function. The standard error messages for JDB and JDE Cache errors are shown in these tables. The JDB errors are: Error ID Description 078D Open Table Failed 078E Close Table Failed 078F Insert to Table Failed 078G Delete from Table Failed 078H Update to Table Failed 078I Fetch from Table Failed 078J Select from Table Failed 078K Set Sequence of Table Failed https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17984_01/doc.898/e14699/implement_error_mssgs.htm 078S * Initialization of Behavior Failed * 078S does not use text substitution The JDE Cache errors are: Error ID Description 078L Initialization of Cache Failed 078M Open Cursor Failed 078N Fetch from Cache Failed 078O Add to Cache Failed 078P Update to Cache Failed 078Q Delete from Cache Failed 078R Terminate of Cache Failed 8.2 Inserting Parameters for Error Messages in lpDS Include the parameters cSuppressErrorMessage and szErrorMessageID in lpDS for error message processing. The functionality for each is as follows: cSuppressErrorMessage (SUPPS) Valid data is either 1 or 0. This parameter is required if jdeErrorSet(...) is used in the business function. When cSuppressErrorMessage is set to 1, do not set an error because jdeErrorSet will automatically display an error message. szErrorMessageID (DTAI) This 4–character string contains the error message ID value that is passed back by the business function. If an error occurs in the business function, szErrorMessageID contains that error number ID. Note: You must initialize szErrorMessageID to 4 spaces at the beginning of the function. Failure to initialize can cause memory errors. 8.2.1 Example: Parameters in lpDS for an Error Message This example includes the lpDS parameters, cSuppressErrorMessage, and szErrorMessageID: if ((!IsStringBlank(lpDS->szErro

The file may not exist on Enterprise Server." We have redeployed all the objects and we are still receiving the error message. All the reports are working through OMW, but not in any other environment. Our JAS/Web servers run Windows Server 2003Our Logic and Database servers run IBM AIX UnixWe are running EnterpriseOne 8.11 Service Pack 1, Tools Release 8.95_K1Looking at the logs this is what we found "Failed to create global table specs for F554822 291086/1 MAIN_THREAD" What is interesting here is that none of the Reports touch this table. Also, this table no longer exist. Provided that CNC has kept XREF up to date; nothing is using this Table! Not sure if this will solve the problem at hand but is a problem none the less.If anyone has seen this error or has any insight please post!
