Unable To Connect To Ccd Process... Discussion in 'Web & Email' started by txmike, May 29, 2004. Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Advertisement txmike Thread Starter Joined: May 29, 2004 Messages: 9 OK. I use SBC DSL (serviced through Yahoo). My kids surf the web regularly, but on a limited http://www.nocrash.com/ncbbs/msgs/3752.shtml access basis (Yahoo Parental Control). My daughter of 14 was surfing three days ago, and she suddenly got kicked off the web. Now, none of us can log into SBC services, and we get the following error when windows boots up: {CManager} Application Fatal Error: Unable to connect to the CCD process. I have https://forums.techguy.org/threads/unable-to-connect-to-ccd-process.233728/ tried uninstalling and reinstalling the SBC Utilities (their connection manager, browser, parental controls, everything) -- to no effect. I do not know what the CCD process is, but it sure is getting frustrating. I have Norton System Works running, and it is updated (or checked for updates) daily. I'm running WinXP Pro. I routinely run Hijack this, Spykiller, and Ad-Aware programs to limit / eliminate ad files, etc. Below is a copy of my Hijack This log: Logfile of HijackThis v1.97.7 Scan saved at 9:41:54 AM, on 5/29/2004 Platform: Windows XP (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 (6.00.2600.0000) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\LEXBCES.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\LEXPPS.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Netropa\Multimedia Keyboard\nhksrv.exe C:\Program Files\Compaq\Compaq Message Screener\bin\compaq-rba.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\Norton Utilities\NPROTECT.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\tcpsvcs.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\snmp.exe C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\SPEEDD~1\nopdb.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\Program Files\Common files\WinTools\WToolsS.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\pctspk.exe C:\Program Files\Compaq\Easy Access Button Support\StartEAK.exe C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\NORTON~2\navapw32.exe C:\Compaq\EAKDRV\EAUSBKBD.EXE C:\Program Files\Netropa\Multimedia Keyboard\MMKeybd.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\igfxtray.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\hkcmd.exe C:\Program Files\Compaq\Easy Access Button Support\CPQEADM.EXE C:\PROGRA~1\STOREK~1\HideMixChin.exe C:\Program Files\Common files\WinTools\WToolsA.exe C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe C:\Program Files\Me
I first turn on my computer, once all programs have loaded, I get an error box. The top says "CManager". The test within the box says "Application fatal error: Unable to connect http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/cmanager-unable-to-connect-to-ccd-process.1488976/ to CCD process." I have searched all help topics under Windows support, but cannot find what this error is referencing. Does anyone have any help for me? I would greatly appreciate it. I am using Windows https://groups.google.com/d/topic/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/ypzryfcGcfM 2000 Professional.
