I will try this and let you know. Even in my case when i use depkgs-qt and after untar when i run make qt4. it \ configures and build, shows messages like qt4 build done. and after that when i \ source . ./qt4-paths it creates some env variables like following , [root@hpc-bacula http://marc.info/?l=bacula-users&m=120221847931526 \ bacula-2.2.8]# env | grep qt4 QTDIR=/root/depkgs-qt/qt4 QTINC=/root/depkgs-qt/qt4/include PATH=/root/depkgs-qt/qt4/bin:/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr \ /local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/root/bin \ QTLIB=/root/depkgs-qt/qt4/lib PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/root/depkgs-qt/qt4/lib/pkgconfig but when i run CFLAGS.................., it shows following error checking for msgfmt... (cached) /usr/bin/msgfmt configure: error: Unable to find Qt4 installation needed by bat. I have checked config.log file but its also not giving any useful info. I understand that qt4 should be there on system before building bacula. But how \ bacula checks for availability of Qt4?. Even the environment variable are defining \ the right location for Qt4. Please somebody suggest. Is there a flagin bacula configure error unable that I need to set for it to see Qt?-Megan Erich Prinz 2007-07-12 04:50:44 UTC PermalinkRaw Message This is from the Dev List and straight from Kern... It may addressthe issue you are experiencing.Hello,Scott Barninger brought my attention to the fact that the way I wasdealingwith including the third party qwt Graphic library for Qt into batdoesn'tplay well with error unable to rpms and such. As a consequence, in the current SVN,I haveremoved the code that builds that library within the Bacula sourcecode treeduring the ./configure process. In order to build Bacula with bat, you either need to build andinstall theqwt packages on your system, or alternatively, you can download thelatestdepkgs package (depkgs-11Jul07.tar.gz) and build it. It now includesthe qwtpackage. In addition, you will need to add a new ./configure option, which is:--with-qwt=where is replaced by the directory under which Bacula canfindlib/... and include/... that include the files for qwt.For example, if you have installed qwt on your system, it will bydefaultinstall in /usr/include and /usr/lib. In that case, you would use:--with-qwt=/usrIf you use depkgs, you would use:--with-qwt=.../depkgs/qwte.g. I use:--with-qwt=$HOME/bacula/depkgs/qwtCurrently, if Bacula does not find qwt, or you don't supply the aboveoption, bat will not be built. Please don't forget that you also need --enable-bat on the ./configure line.Best regards,KernPost by Megan KispertI think I did something wrong.
