All I did is - just copied the folder from another machine and pasted in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot. The application has been already developed in VS2005 and in my machine I've VS2005 as well. If I try to open error unable to the corresponding folder by File--->open--->website, I am directed to VisualStudio Conversion Wizard which proceed two steps further of taking the backup and a status message box display, it completes the conversion and gives the error message as "Unable to parse *****.vbproj file: Cannot open the file"I stuck with these for the whole long day. All I want to do is just wanna open the source code and debug it. Also, I want to know more about the service packs and the framework jargons as well. Kindly help me to learn about these things. Thanks in advanceWith lovePaul Moved by Figo Fei Wednesday, September 03, 2008 2:34 AM redirect (Moved from Visual Studio Setup and Installation to Visual Basic IDE) Monday, September 01, 2008 9:38 AM All replies 0 Sign in to vote PaulRichards said: I want to just open the existing web application's source code in my machine. Hi! I have worked with Visual Studio 2005, ASP.Net and C# for just a few months. The Visual Studio 2005 trial period ended so I downloaded the Visual Web Developer as suggested, but when I try clicking on my solution file, I get the error message: The application for project 'C:\Furniture\Furniture.csproj is not installed. Make sure the application for the project type (.csproj) is installed." and the Solution Explorer message says: "The project file cannot be loaded" The control panel shows the following installed: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Microsoft MSDN 2005 Express Edition - ENU Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Microsoft SQL Server Native Client Microsoft SQL Server Setup Support Files (English) Microsoft SQL Server VSS Writer Microsoft User-Mode Drive Framework Feature 1.0 Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Web Application Projects Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition - ENU What am I missing?
