I'm trying to run ASDoc with the following command: asdoc -doc-sources "C:\My Projects\TheProject\Flex\TheProject\src" -main-title TheProject -output "c:\My Projects\TheProject\Flex\TheProject"\asdoc -warnings=false I get the following errors: Loading configuration file C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\sdks\4 .5.1\frameworks\flex-config.xml C:\My Projects\TheProject\Flex\TheProject\src\com\company\common\comp onents\Header.mxml: Error: unable to resolve '/com/company/common/co mponents/images/logo.gif' for transcoding C:\My Projects\TheProject\Flex\TheProject\src\com\company\common\comp onents\Header.mxml: Error: Unable to transcode /com/company/common/c omponents/images/logo.gif. I've tried adding an extra slash as recommended here but that didn't fix it. Does anybody know a way around this? Removing the offending piece of code (an embed) fixes the problem... but obviously I don't want to remove it. Thanks in advance. flex actionscript asdoc share|improve this question asked Apr 27 '12 at 17:02 the_new_mr 89521739 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted Not sure if it will help. But possibly try adding the -source-path argument. Since the embed's are relative url's it may be trying to find the assets from the directory the command is running in rather than the source path. asdoc -source-path "C:\My Projects\TheProject\Flex\TheProject\src" -doc-sources "C:\My Projects\TheProject\Flex\TheProject\src" -main-title TheProject -output "c:\My Projects\TheProject\Flex\TheProject\asdoc" -warnings=false share|improve this answer answered Apr 27 '12 at 18:00 maclema 9,19963041 1 This is on the correct path. One thing to remember that the ASDoc tool must compile the actual application first (this is how it begins to bui
and CruiseControl complained that I cannot build it ! See, CC uses compc (the command line compiler) to compile the module and it was returning:
unable to resolve 'assets/cross_cursor.png' for transcoding.
Here is what the code looked liked.
[Embed(source="assets/cross_cursor.png")]
So I said to my self, "Oh come on! I thought you can handle pngs. Poop !" - Googled the error and found this link. And the solution was to add a http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10354870/asdoc-transcodde "/" in front of "assets":
[Embed(source="/assets/cross_cursor.png")]
Now I'm happier :-) Posted by Mansour Raad at 5:20 AM Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest Labels: compc, transcoding 11 comments: Ned said... Do you have any idea how to fix this problem for fonts?I am trying to embed a font as such:fontFamily: "Century Gothic";fontWeight: lighter; fontStyle: http://thunderheadxpler.blogspot.com/2008/03/unable-to-resolve-file-for-transcoding.html normal;src: url("/assets/gothic.ttf");I have placed the gothic.ttf TrueType font file in assets and I always get the error. Any ideas?Thank you. June 30, 2008 at 6:26 AM Dzioker said... Hi Ned, If you haven't found this solution already, you just need to add -managers flash.fonts.AFEFontManagerTo the "Additional Compiler Arguments" in the properties of the project. It resolved my issue, but for some reason it was only necessary on some files. Others worked fine without the preceding slash.Cheers. The solution i found is to add two dots and slash. e.g[Embed("../assets/soundSample.mp3")] November 24, 2009 at 3:18 AM ThunderHead said... is going on, then http://thong-vu.blogspot.com/2011/03/unable-to-resolve-for-transcoding-with.html here is the answer... it's actually so simple that you just want to punch the guy who wrote the compiler in his newbie face... okay...so some where in your semi-amateur code you probably have... [Embed(source="../images/HelloNewb.png", mimeType="image/png")] private var MyImage:Class; guess what--what error unable you actually need is... [Embed(source="/../images/HelloNewb.png", mimeType="image/png")] private var MyImage:Class; you see it? it's not that hard. it's not like finding Waldo...what you need was to add the "/" where your source file is located. Retarded? Hell yes! And if you don't know error unable to what I am talking about or how to embed resources in AS3, then see my sample on how to embed images or how to embed fonts.
