BuildingDiscuss Articulate Products Downloads Sign In Discuss Articulate Engage Bookmark Subscribe Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email Unable to edit Engage interactions By sarah hughes Hi there, I am a first time user of Articulate. I thought it was going well until I asked someone to review my work and when it has https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-engage/unable-to-edit-engage-interactions been sent back to me I am now not able to edit the engage interactions. The error messages I get are "The file C:\Documents and Settings\aming" could not be found then Articulate closes. The filename https://www.articulate.com/support/presenter-09/unable-to-create-an-instance-of-articulate-quizmaker is different for each interaction but none of the filenames bear any resemblence to what the .intr files are called. So it appears somewhere along the line the links between my .pptx/.ppta and the .intr error unable files have been broken/corrupted. Does anyone know of a way I can fix this? Many thanks Sarah Reply Quote Flag almost 4 years ago11/27/12 at 1:22 am (UTC) 2 Replies Christine Hendrickson Staff almost 4 years ago11/27/12 at 7:16 am (UTC) Good morning Sarah. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes! Sorry to hear about the trouble you're experiencing. You may want to try to delete one of the Engage slides and then reinsert error unable to it into the presentation and see if it resolves your issue. If this happens with any interaction, try this. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks! Reply Quote Flag Mark as Helpful (0) Bookmark Judy Nollet almost 4 years ago11/28/12 at 11:29 am (UTC) In my experience, links between the .pptx and .intr or .quiz files get broken whenever: files are moved to another folder any folder name is changed (including those "above" the course files) any file name is changed This is because Articulate uses full-path names (i.e., starting with your hard drive name and continuing through each folder) instead of relative path names (e.g., starting at the folder that contains the .pptx and going up or down from there). This is something that I -- and others -- hope Articulate will fix in Studio '13.
