Don't recall what the issue was, though. Checking the web.config and that your app pool actually uses .NET 4 would be a good start. –Uwe Keim Dec 26 '11 at 19:15 @UweKeim - thanks. that the first think i did :( . the ugly yellow triangle on the IE is not what is disturbing me.. the big problem is that the script manager with the update pannel - dont work ! :( –Oshrib Dec 26 '11 at 19:17 Don't blame the yellow triangle, it's innocent ;-) –Uwe Keim Dec 26 '11 at 19:19 When

Thank you SO community! –johntrepreneur Oct 25 '13 at 22:17 3 not sure why it was closed based it's usefulness for me and all the positive SO community feedback. In this case, I don't think it's justified by all the community upvotes. –johntrepreneur Oct 25 '13 at 22:20 I've changed DefaultAppPool's Managed Pipeline Mode from 'Classic' to 'Integrated' and it worked for me. I can't say any common configuration changes with you but it might work for you too. –smlnl Apr 22 '14 at 10:01 add a comment| 14 Answers 14 active oldest votes up vote 31 down vote accepted Here is the answer by zhughes from this thread on asp.net forum. I arranged to take the day off to go shopping with my wife, but I had to check-in to make sure everything was failed to load okay at the office. I checked my email from home and found that there were suddenly two issues reported on my project that was scheduled for an update in production that night. Needless to say I had to address the problems. It turns out that neither were more than a five minute fix in each case. I described the problem to my wife, and I discovered yet another reason I can be certain I married the right woman. She simply said to me, "Why don't you try it on your other computer?" Duh! I had upgraded a few months back from one laptop to another. So, I still had the old laptop laying around. I just needed to get
