situation, let alone solves the problem. It doesn't matter which address in my website I try to navigate to (even addresses that don't exist give this error instead of a 404), I get the exact same message (the path is always '/'). Everything was working fine for me. I had one site up and running with the Visual Web Developer 2005 Beta 2 and Microsoft Framework 2.0. I created a second website and put it in its own directory, configured IIS to use Ms Framework 2.0. Everything should work https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/dd53e821-28a1-401b-85bb-d2a0b327a880/server-error-in-application-failed-to-map-the-path?forum=Vsexpressinstall being the same just different directories. Unfortunately, now both websites are down. I have posted the error below. I have attempted creating the folder that it is yelling about even though I do not use it. I even tried creating a basic hello world website. It also receives the error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Server Error in '/' Application. Anyway, their whole website is done up in Classic ASP and VBScript. They have this new set of pages they want me to write under the directory C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Website.com\trunk\mydir\purchase\ And they want it done up in ASP.NET and VB.NET and the usual N-Tier architecture for hitting the DB (which is SQL Server 2005 by the way). I am using VS2010. So I did the usual rigamarole of adding a Class Library project for the data layer and business layer yada yada. No problem there. Now I am adding the front-end. I went into VS-2010 and said "New Web Site" and created an ASP.NET Em
