it? Thank you in advance, I appreciate it. A. JacobEmily Bronze MemberUsername: Oposky2006U.S.A Post Number: 27Registered: Oct-09 Posted on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 - 01:39 GMTThe E202 error is when the TV fails to receive broadcast try using an e202 sharp error over the air antenna and not the RG6 cable that was hooked up to your cable box. If you still are getting the E202 error there could be an issue with the main board if you are still under warranty Sharp will fix it if not, it's about $500 for the main board. I had the same problem two years ago with my 32" Sharp Aquos mine turned out to be the main board it was under warranty sharp tv failed to receive broadcast e202 at the time. pms hippee New memberUsername: PmshippeePost Number: 1Registered: Jun-10 Posted on Thursday, June 10, 2010 - 14:52 GMTHi, Same problem on an older LC-C3742U SHARP AQUOS. Other tv in my house receives ch 4.1 at the same cable spot and bad tv will not receive this ch in the good tv's spot so I know it is the tv. It receives all other channels well just not 4.1 which shows E202.... Tried your reset protocol but it merely started the tv and held the channel it was last set on. « Previous Thread | Next Thread » Add Your Message Here Formatting: -Color- Black Red Green Blue Yellow Purple Orange Cyan Gray White -Size- Tiny (-2) Small (-1) Normal Large (+1) Huge (+2) Post: Username: Need to Register? I did a rescan last night for analog stations after changing the cable from STD to HRC, just for the heck of it. Not sure which worked or if it was a combination of the two changes, but now I'm good to go. Now I just have to figure out how to hide the stupid DTA box. Thanks Comcast. 0 Kudos Posted by JayInAlg 03-24-2010 11:39 PM Cable Expert View All Member Since: 03-02-2007 Posts: 17,749 Message 2 of 3 (11,809 Views) Re: "Failed to receive broadcast" message on screen of Sharp 19" flat screen Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Report So you probably are not getting the DTA menu either? Next step is on the TV to do a rescan of channels, you need to have the TV scan &find analog channel 3 or 4 (whatever the little switch is set for), which is the output of the DTA box. Once you have the analog channel found on the TV, then it should find the output of the DTA box, and tune it in. I am not a Comcast employee, I am a paying customer just like you!
