the iOS jailbreak app store, seems to be affected with a new cydia failed to fetch apt saurik com issue resulting in "failed to fetch" error on an iOS 9 device jailbroken with Pangu. It is ascertained that
Cydia Some Index Files Failed To Download
the issue crops up soon after re-launching Cydia after "Preparing the File System" and allowing the device to respring for first use after the jailbreak. Cydia 'Failed to fetch' error on iOS https://heredago.wordpress.com/2010/11/03/how-to-fix-cydias-error-cached-failure-or-error-refreshing-data-on-iphone-4/ 9 devices jailbroken with PanguiPhone HacksAccording to iPhone Hacks, the error message reads: "Failed to fetch http://apt.saurik.com/dists/ios/1240.10/main/binary-iphoneos-arm/Packages.bz2 Hash Sum mismatch"This occurs immediately after re-launching Cydia on a Pangu jailbroken iOS 9 device. Consequently, Cydia fails to load all repos and packages, and thereby prevents installation of new jailbreak tweaks.Folks at iPhone Hacks have confirmed that several quick-fixes such as quitting Cydia and relaunching it, http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/how-fix-failed-fetch-error-cydia-after-jailbreaking-ios-9-pangu-1526405 rebooting the device or using the volume up trick during reboot, does not seem to fix the problem. Even tapping the Refresh button seems to make no difference to the persistent error. Those who are wary of restoring or rejailbreaking their device to overcome this issue can try a simple fix outlined in the steps below:Disable the Wi-Fi feature on the device and try using the 3G (cellular data) option or connect your device to your iPhone's Hotspot. Cydia 'Failed to fetch' error message without 'Hash Sum Mismatch'iPhone HacksTap on Refresh button from the Sources tab, once you have disabled the Wi-Fi option on your iOS device. At this moment, the "failed to fetch" error message should resurface, albeit without the second part - "Hash Sum mismatch", as seen in the earlier message. However, tapping the Refresh button from the Sources tab again seems to resolve the issue in most cases. The status bar should now say Reloading Data and you should now be able to install new jailbreak tweaks on Cydia without further hassle.Note: It is confirmed that the fix works fine on both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 5s

Host Unreachable/Cached Failure errors in Cydia 1 I was wondering if anyone http://jaxov.com/2011/04/fix-cydia-http-404-not-found-cached-failure-error/ else had had this problem with their sources in Cydia - no sources will download as they all say cached failure. I think it's a permissions error because failed to if I go to the /var/lib/ folders (partial and fully downloaded) they lack permissions, and start working when I chmod them to 7777. I have tried the common fixes (deleting all sources in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ and deleting all partial/complete files in /var/lib/apt/partial/). I've chmodded and set ownership to mobile/mobile for both folders and entire hierarchies, but it failed to fetch seems like the debian utility that downloads my sources sets newly downloaded files to another permission, which removes read/execute privileges from Cydia, which leads to the Cached Failure errors. I've also tried reinstalling debian utilities and Cydia/Cydia-lproj. My last resort is a restore, but I'd like to know if anyone else has had this problem. I've searced for quite a bit but everyone else that has this error either hasn't figured out that it's a permissions error or theirs was fixed just by deleting the sources/partial source files. I've posted in IRC, reddit, and JailbreakQA but no one seems to know what's going on. I'm still convinced it's a permissions issue, because the cached failure is too instantaneous and seems to be the only thing that can be doing it. thanks again, JonLuca failure cached jailbreak sources taig cydia asked 25 Jun '15, 10:37 jonluca 41●2●7 Answer this question.
