Run the zadig.exe click options - List All Devices Choose your phone from the drop down list (on my pc it was "MSM8960" I could not get it to work correctly on my PC, onece plugged into laptop "SAMSUNG Mobile USB CDC Composite Device") Go through the drivers (WinUSB, Libusb0, Libusbk) and clikc Place drive for each of them. Then run Heimdall This worked for me but I had to do it on my laptop to be able to flash the

All goes well as http://androidforums.com/threads/unable-to-flash-using-heimdall.476856/ far as setting up my computer and installing everything that is needed. I can get ADB to reconize my device and all of the Drivers and such show up in Device Manager. I believe it simply means the drivers didn't install right. I had the same error and had to run zagig.exe and install the Samsung drivers 3 times before it worked right. I've heard at least one person say that the phone should be plugged into the computer to let all the automatic drivers be installed first, then when they were done run zagig.exe and install those drivers. If you know how to delete your drivers, you might do that, then plug the phone in and let

So, I assume that you are running the Microsoft's Windows operating system. So I let you got to the [ Login above or register to see download links. ]. Then, normally boot your device, plug-in it into your computer and install the drivers. IN ALL CASE, DO NOT INSTALL DRIVERS SUGGESTED BY WINDOWS THROUGH THE WINDOWS UPDATES !!! They are really bad and don't function anymore with the newer phone with 4.x.x and above Android version. If you are a GNU/Linux users, magic! There is no drivers for any usb device needed to install. Everything is recognized on his own and instantly. So if you get that error, just bring your device into download mode again, check whether your device is well plugged-in into the computer and check for the status.
