Run the zadig.exe click options - List All Devices Choose your phone from the drop down list (on my pc it was "MSM8960" I could not get it to work correctly on my PC, onece plugged into laptop "SAMSUNG Mobile USB CDC Composite Device") Go through the drivers (WinUSB, Libusb0, Libusbk) and clikc Place drive for each of them. Then run Heimdall This worked for me but I had to do it on my laptop to be able to flash the files correctly. I still get problem installing with my phone having an issue with the downloading bar going all across the screen and then stopping the flash. to get around this I did one file at a time and allowed it to auto reboot. Each time putting it straight into download mode. Source: http://redialflash.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/how-to-install-and-succesful-start.html share|improve this answer edited Jun 3

Thanks, Hugh Replies (5) RE: Heimdall issue - Samsung Galaxy SIII - Added by Jonas Fitz over 2 years ago Have you got any other USB port to choose from?If http://redmine.replicant.us/boards/3/topics/4551 so, you might want to try another one. At least, this worked for me a while ago when I encountered the same problem. RE: Heimdall issue - Samsung Galaxy SIII - Added by Hugh Mayfield over 2 years ago Thanks for the tip Jonas, unfortunately trying another USB port made no difference. Would be very grateful for any other ideas. Hugh RE: Heimdall issue - Samsung Galaxy SIII - Added by Jonas Fitz over 2 years ago Just found this thread over at xda-developers:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538010 RE: Heimdall issue - Samsung Galaxy SIII - Added by Hugh Mayfield over 2 years ago Thanks Jonas, that worked. I've got Replicant installed and working now. Super duper! Hugh RE: Heimdall issue - Samsung Galaxy SIII - Added by Paul Kocialkowski over 2 years ago Good to know! I've been having the same kind of issue with heimdall on some setups, hopefully, I'll know what to do next time. (1-5/5) Loading... Powered by Redmine © 2006-2011 Jean-Philippe Lang
