following error: "Failed to open a fastload rowset db_object. Check that the object exists in the database" db_object exists in the database. Is there any key point for the table or view used for fastload? Thanks Saturday, May 19, 2007 6:26 AM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Are you connecting to the SQL Server database? The fast load interface can ssis error code dts_e_oledberror an ole db error has occurred error code 0x80004005 be used only for SQL Server. Thanks. Did you choose it from the drop-down list or typed it in the property grid? Does it have the schema part which is not included? Thanks. Sunday, May 20, 2007 6:15 AM Reply | Quote Owner 0 Sign in to vote Yes, I select the db_object from drop down list and also schema part is included. Task: - Checks if table is present on the Destination Server if it is NOT the T-SQL in the SQL Task creates the table. Data Flow Task: - Copies table the metadata could not be determined because statement uses a temp table on Source Server to table on Destination Server. PROBLEM if table is not with result sets on Destination Server, BEFORE package is run, SSIS displays a error with one of the statements. - "Invalid object name failed validation and returned validation status 'dbo.tmpCSLPInformationPad_Tbl." - "[dbo].[tmpCSLPInformationPad_Tbl]. Check that the object exists in the database." If I look at the Destination Server after the package displays error the table is NOT created!? If I run the "Execute https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b65408b3-68ee-445d-ad79-7812bcd8f5e0/failed-to-open-a-fastload-rowset?forum=sqlintegrationservices SQL Task" by itself, to test it, the table IS created as expected. If table is present BEFORE Package is run "Data Flow Task" works as expected. WHY doesn't the "Execute SQL Task" create the table and/or WHY doesn't the "Data Flow Task" see the table? CAN anyone tell me why this SSIS package is not working as expected? Thanks in advance albanello albanello, Oct 2, http://community.discountasp.net/threads/ms-sql-ssis-package-validation-error.21596/ 2014 #1 dmitri DiscountASP.NET Staff I can see a "dot" at the end of your table name: dbo.tmpCSLPInformationPad_Tbl. [dbo].[tmpCSLPInformationPad_Tbl]. This is probably the cause of "Invalid object name 'dbo.tmpCSLPInformationPad_Tbl." error. Please review your SSIS package and remove the "." character from the table name. dmitri, Oct 2, 2014 #2 albanello Dmitri Thank you for your response. I'm sorry but that "dot" is a Typo error in my EMail. I have checked my SSIS Package and there is NO "dot" at the end of the table name. This packages connects to a Sybase server (Source) and Sql Server (Destination). This package has been like 2 months with out any issues. All of sudden it started failing with the below error. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80004005. failed to open An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft SQL Native Client" Hresult: 0x80004005 Description: "Unable to resolve column level collations. Bulk-copy cannot continue.". Failed to open a fastload rowset for "db..tbl". Check that the object exists in the database. "component "OLE DB Destination" (16)" failed validation and returned validation status "VS_ISBROKEN". One or more component failed validation. There were errors during task validation. Even though the error says its Column collation issues, I do not think it is the case due to the following reasons:1. This has been running fine all these days, with the same setup.2. There was no change in either source/destination3. If I remove the fast load option, then the same package works.4. Dropping / Re-creating the table in Sql Server also seems to do the trick. I cannot do this in Prod enviornmentSo, any idea, Why would a same package fail, when fast load option is selected and succeed when it is not selected.ThanksKarunakaran visakh16 Very Important crosS Applying yaK Herder India 52326 Posts Posted-08/09/2008: 02:31:48 I think one thing you can do
