[rejected] master -> master (fetch first) error: failed to push some refs to 'https://git.heroku.com/limitless-inlet-4477.git' hint: Updates were rejected because the remote contains work that you do hint: not have locally. This is usually caused by another repository pushing hint: to the same ref. You may want to first integrate the remote changes hint: (e.g., 'git pull ...') before pushing again. hint: See the 'Note about fast-forwards' in 'git push --help' for details. This repository was set up yesterday on github and is called ninja_speak_app. While setting up the repository I was careful not to initialize with a readme file or license. When I do a git pull I get the following: matt@matt-desktop:~/Documents/Ruby/rails_projects/ninja_speak_app$ git pull Already up-to-date. Commit also shows everything is up to date: matt@matt-desktop:~/Documents/Ruby/rails_projects/ninja_speak_app$ git commit -m "first commit" On branch master Your branch is up-to-date

a couple of different ways to ask the terminal error failed to push some refs to gitlab to create an app, as previously I was getting an error message that error failed to push some refs to bitbucket said the app must be cedar-supported. This is what I've been asking: codio@carol-lorenzo:~/workspace/ruby_challenges/sinatra_ar/anagram_generator$ heroku create --stack cedar --buildpack https://github.com/heroku/heroku-buildpack-ruby.git Creating infinite-eyrie-4933... done, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/28528912/git-push-heroku-master-error-with-rails stack is cedar-10 Buildpack set. Then, I updated Git remote heroku like so: codio@carol-lorenzo:~/workspace/ruby_challenges/sinatra_ar/anagram_generator$ heroku git:remote -a infinite-eyrie-4933 Git remote heroku updated However, when I http://forum.codio.com/t/deploying-to-heroku-is-there-something-else-specific-that-should-be-done-in-codio/1778 try to push to Heroku, I keep receiving an error message that there is an error retrieving the buildpack (I pulled how to type this from the GitHub documentation for the Ruby buildpack): codio@carol-lorenzo:~/workspace/ruby_challenges/sinatra_ar/anagram_generator$ git push heroku master Counting objects: 327, done. This relates to an issue with the case-insensitivity of the OS X filesystem (in its default configuration) and the case-sensitivity of (most) Linux filesystems. There's a work around: cp gemfile Gemfile.tmp git rm gemfile git commit -m "Remove gemfile" mv Gemfile.tmp Gemfile git add Gemfile git commit -m "Add Gemfile" source: http://www.samanthajohn.com/post/19301082485/gotcha-with-git-and-heroku Giles Thomas 1,114 Points Giles Thomas Giles Thomas 1,114 Points over 3 years ago Hi Alan My status is as follows # On branch master # Untracked files: # (use "git add
