Here's a helpful guide. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/operatingsystems/ss/instx... Once that completes, then you may need to rebuild the boot.ini file. m 0 l PratyushPatel 10 August 2010 03:14:45 thanks for the suggestion, i will give it a try. m 0 l Related resources "Invalid

It all started with an "error: 0xe002001b. I followed the instructions of another forum and tried the Recovery Console on the XP installation disk. Here is where I am at currently: Tried bootcfg /list and it came back as "There are currently no boot entries available to display" Then tried bootcfg /scan and it came back as: Error: Failed to successfully scan disks for Windows installations. This error may be caused by a corrupt file system, which would prevent Bootcfg from successfully scanning. Use chkdsk to detect any disk errors. Then tried chkdsk /r and it came back stating "The volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems. Now I am stuck and I have a presentation to give. I can't start in safe mode. Apparently I only have access to F2 and F12. Can someone please provide some advice? Thank you, Tim Back to top BC AdBot (Login
