for database 'IT 2010\MBX02' on machine 'MBX02' is falling behind and Exchange isn't able to keep up with new logs being generated on the source. The copy queue length is currently 683. Sunday, February 28, 2010 Errors moving mailboxes to an Exchange 2010 DAG I ran into this today, doing my first datamovereplicationconstraint exchange 2013 production DAG with a copy on a kind of slow connection.Error: Move for database does not satisfy the constraint secondcopy because the commit time mailbox '/o=First Organization/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=user' is stalled because DataMoveReplicationConstraint is not satisfied for the database 'Database' (agent MailboxDatabaseReplication). Failure Reason: Database set-mailboxdatabase -datamovereplicationconstraint a409ab86-ce24-4fcf-bd2a-14fd633090aa does not satisfy constraint SecondCopy. Some database copies are behind.Sure enough, a quick check of get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus showed that my CopyQueueLength was fairly high on the server across the WAN. As a result, my mailbox https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/e320bdf3-4d0e-454f-9524-1b55347984a3/exchange-2010-local-mailbox-move-fail-dag-2-sites?forum=exchange2010 moves were failing with the above error. However, they don't fail right away, the StatusDetail shows StalledDueToHA. Some stayed there up to two hours waiting for the log shipping to catch up on the remote server before failing. To show a more detailed output on move progress, I was using:Get-MoveRequest Get-MoveRequestStatistics | ft displayname,*stat*,perc*,totalmailboxsizeSo what Exchange 2010 is doing here is smart. Exchange Active Manager doesn't want that CopyQueueLength to be http://blog.chrislehr.com/2010/02/errors-moving-mailboxes-to-exchange.htm over 10 files, or the replay queue length over 50. More constraints here. The workaround is to disable this limit, so your moves can occur and the seeding can occur over time. This is one of three Microsoft recommended fixes. One is fix your database health, one is upgrade your WAN. This third one is a workaround that should be reconfigured after the initial mailbox moves.Set-MailboxDatabase -DataMoveReplicationConstraint NoneThe default here is SecondCopy. More information on the other settings at the link above. This change DOES require a restart of the Exchange Replication Manager service. Be forewarned, if you have a queue length already, the replication manager will hang on stopping and attempt to complete the copies before stopping, so it might take some time.Of course, once your moves are done, and your database's CopyQueueLength is normalized, you should re-enable this constraint using:Set-MailboxDatabase -DataMoveReplicationConstraint SecondCopy Posted by Chris Lehr at 11:37 AM Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest Labels: Exchange 2010, mailbox 3 comments: Abhishek said... Error: Move for mailbox ‘/o=OrgName/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn=name.lastname' is stalled because DataMoveReplicationConstraint is not satisfied for the database ‘DB03-GOLD' (agent MailboxDatabaseReplication). Failure Reason: Database c79c6393-32fe-4ef3-abfd-d5deda6b07fc does not satisfy constraint SecondCopy. Some database copies are behind. Solution The first step is to check that the source mailboxes are being replicated among their DAG members and there is no replication issues, if that is the case, fix that and try again. However, in some larger mailboxes we may continue getting that error, and we are going to show you how to identify the issue and a possible workaround for the situation. Using Exchange Management Console, expand Recipient Configuration, click on Move Request a list of all mailboxes that are being moved will be listed, double click on the failed one or just click Properties. Click on the Details tab, we can see the error on the Suspend Comment as shown in the image below. So, if you validate the replication and you are still getting the error message, the following cmdlet can remove the requirement of having a second copy of the database before the move process. The first cmdlet will list the current setting that you have at Mailbox Database level, and afterwards we will change to None. Get-MailboxDatabase
