Port Mapping Failed To Initialize The Miniupnp Interface
Posted January 9, 2009 Hey all, I recently downloaded ApexDC++ 1.2.0B (i was using DC++ before) and just started using it today as i'm back at university. While hashing my files, it keeps getting an error:
Dc++ Manual Port Forwarding
"Error saving hash data: The system cannot find the file specified." I have gone into my folders and looked, and all the files it is trying to hash are there and working fine. I never had a problem like this with DC++. It's only been able to hash around 1 gig when i have much, much more than that. As a result my share size is too low to log on failed to map the transfer port with the nat-pmp interface to my university's hub. Rather annoying. Also eery once in a while i get an "Access is Denied" error, but more frequently the File Not Found error. I'm running Vista 32 bit, if that matters. If DC++ behaves unexpectedly, you can look in this window for a possible explanation. There are two kinds of messages can appear in the System log : events and errors. While the first kind of messages are usual, you may want to pay more attention to the latter ones. Error messages shown in the log may come from some failed automatic operation or as a result of your latest interaction with the program interface. The very last message entry in the log is shown in the statusbar of the main DC++ window. You can check the tooltip of the status bar for the last few log entries. Note that not all error messages appear in the System log. Some windows (like Download Queue or Search) have their own functional status bar and messag

What's going wrong here? ruby-on-rails ruby serialization activerecord share|improve this question asked Jul 14 '11 at 14:04 cmwright 1,67131426 4 Is there anything in user.errors after attempting to save the record? –Martijn Jul 14 '11 at 14:06 In the future, you can use the bang method (save!) to raise an exception and display an error message. –leishman Mar 9 '15 at 7:11 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 149 down vote accepted The column type is wrong. You should use Text instead of String. Therefore, your migration should be: def self.up add_column :users, :multi_wrong, :text end Then Rails will properly convert it into YAML for you (and perform proper serialization). Strings fields are limited in size and will only hold especially-small values. share|improve this answer edited Oct 30 '15 at 16:40 Dave Newton 119k13162195 answered Jul 15 '11 at 4:47 Benjamin Tan 7,86731839 1 @BenjaminTan what is the reason behind it,why does I can't store hash in 'string' data type. –Lohith MV Apr 18 '12 at 13:27 6 Because in the database, String has a fixed length of 255 (I think). But if you were to serialize a hash of comparative size,
