Bought this game. They have already debited my credit card. Spent a substantial amount of time downloading it. Went to try and launch steam error failed to load platform modules it and got... "Failed to connect to key server." Firewall - Check. Turned off all firewalls. No change. Router - Check. Connected direct to the cable modem. No change. Googled around a bit. Turns out that this error most commonly happens when STEAM don't have any valid licences for the game. So, why did STEAM sell me a game, for which it seems that they had no authority to sell me

(no licences)? The question is, what happens now? They have my money, but I don't have the goods (if a game can be classed as goods) I have paid for. Of course, if its a simple issue in that their key server is down, then I apologize for my rant. They may know, they may not, but contacting support is the best way to get it taken care of quickly. I spent 20 hours trying to get my game to work, and although I usually don't post on the forums, I felt it was my duty to help all of you.First off, go to your steam folder and open the "MP3_Installers" folder, this folder contains all of the programs that you need to install in order to get Max Payne to work. Install "Social Club v1.1.0.6 Setup", "vcredist_x86", and "DXSETUP". However, DO NOT RUN the "SteamUninstaller" executeble.http://gyazo.com/0224845b07f4e55a34bb3fb92dc0873cAfter that go to the main game folder "Max Payne 3" and create a text file. Name it "steam_appid" and inside the text file write "204100". Save it and you're all done!http://gyazo.com/0deb3f795c412dd33f02c09e534e35f6Now here is the most important thing, launch the game from the game directory (MaxPayne3.exe) and NOT FROM STEAM. Valve or the Publishers will refill them within some days and when that happens you can install your game without a problem.
