Hyena Failed To Create Empty Document
Thread Starter Joined: Feb 12, 2015 Messages: 3 I use Windows XP. I installed and ran failed to create empty document windows 10 the Avast grime fighter and then found two of my programs - one for tax preparation and one for backing up to an external failed to create empty document windows 8 hard drive - won't "open". Instead, I get the error message "failed to create empty document". I uninstalled the programs then reinstalled them, but no change - I still get the message. I saw, by googling the message, that it http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/failed-to-create-empty-document/5dce54ff-8dd6-441f-9bba-5aa346a13655 may have something to do with a windows registry file, but I really don't understand what that is or how to get to it or how to fix it. I contacted the Avast folks and they said they could put me in touch with their microsoft folks for $180! I am at a loss as to what I should do. Please can anyone help me figure out what to do to get these programs to run? I really need the tax https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-failed-to-create-empty-document-error-message.1142984/ program especially. Thank you. The fix you recommended says it can only be done within a week. But then I thought what the heck, and tried to do it. Unfortunately, the option to "undo last scan" did not appear under the big green "begin grime fighter" button.... perhaps because the option to undo was time-barred. I am appreciative of the suggestion; do you have any other(s)?

This is not a problem that was caused by OmniPage, but a problem with the specific machine that OmniPage is installed on. The cause of these corrupted and missing permissions is unknown, but they are required for the system to function properly. Solution: It is possible to reset the permissions on a system manually by making changes to the registry. WARNING: These steps should only be performed by a knowledgeable computer user. Please note that incorrect changes can cause even more problems on the system. To open the registry, click "Start > Run" and type "regedit" then click "OK". (On Windows Vista, click the Start button and type "regedit" in the Search field, then press "Enter"). Once the Registry Editor opens, the permissions should be checked on each of the five main keys. For example, for the first key (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT), right click on the key and then select "Permissions…". Make sure that the CREATOR OWNER, SYSTEM and Administrators group have "Full Control". If any of these do not exist, they must be added manually and adjusted to have "Full Control". R
