Hi All, We have a C# 32 Bit DLL (Let’s say Foo.dll ) which is exposed as COM via [ComVisible(true)] [Guid("xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx")] [ClassInterface(ClassInterfaceType.None)] We using this DLL in Classic ASP Page - Object being created as Global Object in Global.asa file via – Now call failed to create the methods by g_fooObject.Method1() This was working fine on Win 2003 Server, IIS6.0, now we recently moved our service to Win2008 Server R2, IIS7.5, ASP Component Added via Feature Install in IIS7.5. Also in App pool settings 32 bit is enabled in IIS and Managed pipeline mode is classic [2 requirements to use classic ASP in IIS7.5] We have following settings on Win 2008 Server R2 – - App Pool Identity is Network Service. - Permission on Registry [Registry Path for foo.dll] is OK. - Permission On Folder where Foo.dll placed OK. - ProgId related to Foo.dll present into Registry. - ASP Component Installed Correctly. - App pool settings 32 bit is enabled in IIS and Managed pipeline mode is classic (2 requirements to use classic ASP in IIS7.5) As soon as we put our servers in production things work normally but after 10-12 hours we start seeing below error in one of our ASP page,
Active Server Pages error '00000000' Create object failed An error occurred while creating object 'g_fooObject’. Thanks

I can't seem to find a reference to it in the code. How is it set? I do have a DBUtils.dll in my bin folder, is there a way to look inside a DLL to find out if there's a SQLEXpression method there? asp-classic regsvr32 createobject share|improve this question edited Jan 30 '12 at 16:20 Abbas 4,74312546 asked Jan 30 '12 at 15:50 Madam Zu Zu 1,750144092 Let X be the GUID from the default value of hkcr\DBUtils.SQLExpression\CLSID (in the registry), look in hkcr\clsid\X\inprocserver32 and you can see the dll its using - it needs to be registered and the whatever account the iis site is using need the appropriate permissions on it –Alex K. Your best bet is to search for the DBUtils.dll or DBUtils.SQLExpression.dll file. If it's available, you may need to register it to the COM server using regsvr32 i.e. type regsvr32 D:\MyPath\DBUtils.dll in the run dialog and press enter. You may also want to do a bit of error handling before setting an ActiveXObject in the session and see exactly what is the error. Something like this: Dim sqlExpression sqlExpression = Nothing On Error Resume Next Set sqlExpression = Server.CreateObject("DBUtils.SQLExpression") If Err.Number <> 0 then Respons
