Want to Advertise Here? Solved Roaming Profile does not load on terminal server #1 access is denied. Posted on 2004-02-13 Windows 2000 1 Verified Solution 12 Comments 8,470 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-21 This is the setup: All of my branch terminal services profiles are stored on a File Server Share. I have 3 terminal servers that my users use. User "A" cannot log into terminal server #1 but can log into the other 2 without problems. The error is: Windows did not load your roaming rofile and is trying to load a local one, then another error: Windows cannot find a local profile (because the user has no local profile on that server) and it trying to log you on with a temporary profile, then the user gets Windows cannot log you becasue the profile could not be loaded. ACCESS is DENIED. the terminal servers are all running windows 2000 server sp3 the only thing I noticed is that under user profiled on the system properties for terminals 2 and 3 the users profile is there as a roaming profile, but it is not on terminal 1. I tried to copy it from both terminal 2 and 3 over to terminal 1 but that didn't work. I don't know why the user can log on using the other 2 terminal servers but not the first one. The account in Active Directory has a path pointing to the File Server to grab the profile. 0 Question by:The_Master_Chief Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 3 Best Solution byfeiyau Hi, Since you mentioned that the problem only affects this one profile on TS1. It sounds like to me that the local cached copy of the profile is either corrupted or the permissions is not set right Go to Solution 12 Comments LVL 4 Overall: Level 4 Windows 2000 1 Message Expert Comment by:Deu52004-02-14 Seems to me like a terminal services configuration error on terminal 1. From some reason it cannot access the file server? perhaps he just can't grab the file from security reason or group policy limitations. Also, in windows 2000 there's a static maximum limit for user profile size. You set it the same place you set the page file(my computer properties->performance->advanced). i don't think it should affect a server, but try it anyhow
