gajo Member Registered: 2008-04-01 Posts: 93 Website long boot due to ata recognition problems [SOLVED] As the message says my boot is taking about 10 minutes, of which 95% of the time is spent trying to recognize ata4 ata failed to identify (i/o error err_mask=0x4) device.I'm using the x86_64 version of arch, which works just fine on my laptop,

and on my desktop - when it boots that is.Another thing that puzzles me is how am I getting those errors,

Hi, I have a server thats running debian 6 (squeeze) amd64, the other day the server become unresponsive, the thing is someone setup this server for me, 3 have 3 hard drives in it one SSD 60gb drive that holds the root and also a partition for mysql, Below is a log of the crash but it lists sda as failing but towards the bottom it also hints at sdc failing, could it infact be something else?
