Center Configuration Manager > Configuration Manager 2007 General Question 0 Sign ccmgetfileversion failed with 0x80004005 in to vote Hey , I seem to have really strange issue. For q quite while now one "error sending dp state message to site server from remote dp" of my secondary sites is experiencing problems connecting to primary site DB. The secondary site is configured with Proxy MP and PXE. All those have been working without problems http://prajwaldesai.com/community/threads/issue-with-osd.234/ ... up till now :( Strange thing is it is only one of many secondary sites experiencing issues.... Database has service account with full permission granted. Both MP and PXE are configured to use that account while connecting to DB Secondary site server is in primary local administrators and in appropiate SiteSystems local group (confirmed many times https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/ef612ff4-16d2-453d-b809-8c117b9980d1/mp-and-pxe-not-connecting-to-db?forum=configmgrgeneral ;) ) on primary SQL SPNs are configured Service account is not locked out etc TCP and named pipes are enabled on SQL There is no firewall issues between secondary and primary sites I have run SQL profiler to see are there any login failures - what a suprise :O none And this is what I'm getting in smspxe.log CMPDBConnection::ExecuteSQL(): ICommandText::Execute() failed with 0x80004005 SmsPXE 9/27/2011 9:15:08 PM 9080 (0x2378) ======================================= SmsPXE 9/27/2011 9:15:08 PM 9080 (0x2378) MPDB ERROR - CONNECTION PARAMETERS SQL Server Name : PrimarySCCMServer SQL Database Name : SMS_ABC Integrated Auth : True MPDB ERROR - EXTENDED INFORMATION MPDB Method : ExecuteSP() MPDB Method HRESULT : 0x80004005 Error Description : [DBNETLIB][ConnectionRead (recv()).]General network error. → ConfigMgr 2012 PXE issue with a nastysurprise… 11 Jul It happens quite often that during the build https://mwesterink.wordpress.com/2014/07/11/configmgr-2012-pxe-issue-with-a-nasty-surprise/ phase of a new ConfigMgr 2012 site infrastructure issues arise. The most common thing to do is verifying the configuration first. Analyzing log files is the next step to help you determine a possible cause. Unfortunately, most issues are caused outside ConfigMgr 2012 so more digging is required to solve the failed to issue. Recently, I was confronted with a situation that required me to do some more digging. The issue was that deploying client machines using PXE didn't start. The client received an IP address, but didn't receive a response from WDS Server, however I was able to proceed but the PXE failed to get boot abruptly ended with a boot error message (Windows Boot Manager failed to start)… The environment has the following properties: 1 stand-alone Primary Site; 1 Site server which hosts the Site Database and the MP role; 1 DP server available at a different VLAN (together with the clients); All content is available; DP is running normally; All permissions and settings are correct. I've decided to have a look at SMSPXE.log and I found the messages which tell me something is wrong (hostnames have been changed to something fictional): socket ‘connect' failed; 8007274c SMSPXE 11-7-2014 10:51:19 3244 (0x0CAC) sending with winhttp failed; 80072ee2 SMSPXE 11-7-2014 10:51:19 3244 (0x0CAC) Failed to get information for MP: http://CM01.domain1.local. 80072ee2.
