This discussion is locked Burningm Level 1 (0 points) Q: Error 2096 - QuickTime Failed to Initialize I just recently bought a new iPod and had to update to iTunes 7.4 or better. I've made sure that I have SP2 and have all the latest updates. But no matter how many times I uninstall Quicktime and iTunes I still get this:Quicktime failed to initialize (Error 2096). Quicktime is required to run iTunes. Please reinstall iTunes.The last thing I did was to remove any programs (Quicktime, iPod update and iTunes)and folders from my C drive and from the recycle bin before restarting and reinstalling. Still I get this message. HELP!
