to open a secure terminal session: disconnected by an application"?? only getting it on some ip's and not others. other ppl don't have a problem getting to the site. killed all apps on machine. rebooted. checked profile and failed to open a secure terminal session key exchange failed it matches the other site's defined (I haven't touched it anyway and has always tectia failed to open a secure file transfer session worked). Did the same thing before and after having userid / password reset (it wasn't expired in the first place but failed to open a secure terminal session connection lost just trying everything i can). Not sure what else to try... tectia error asked Jan 31 '11 at 21:46 John Cochran 1●1●1●1 2 Answers: oldestnewestmost voted 0 Can you try connecting using the sshg3 command tectia failed to connect to broker line tool in verbose mode, such as: sshg3 -v user@host This should give more information in figuring out why it's not able to connect. Also, does it consistently happen with the same hosts/ips? or does it sometimes work and sometimes not against the same host? link answered Feb 01 '11 at 19:19 Roman ♦♦ 773●5●8●17 i don't have sshg3 (not sure what tool that is); this tectia profile used to work

now it doesn't work anytime (consistently failing). It works on other boxes and I have not changed the profile for any of them... I did look at the profile and it appears just like the others except for the IP address and that IP address works fine for other people's tectia so the IP is not the problem... Could Not Connect To Broker Openprocess Failed 5
Hi Linda, what version of Tectia client are you using? Can you copy paste the failed to connect to broker socket log messages when this happens into your question? You can find them by right clicking on the broker tray icon and selecting trustworthiness of the client process cannot be verified. refusing to serve unknown client status then going to the "logs" section. After killing several processes (it took a -9 to get them to go away), The "broker failure" error stopped occurring. I didn't research what limit we had hit, but I assume there is a tunable parameter somewhere which controls the number of ptys or some other related resource. link answered https://answers.ssh.com/questions/99/failed-to-open-a-secure-terminal-session-broker-failure Jul 12 '11 at 23:30 Steve_Tucker 1●1 Your answer toggle preview community wiki Follow this questionBy Email:Once you sign in you will be able to subscribe for any updates hereBy RSS: Answers Answers and Comments Markdown Basics *italic* or __italic__ **bold** or __bold__ link:[text](http://url.com/ "title") image?![alt text](/path/img.jpg "title") numbered list: 1.
