When I clicked Save the system froze. I could not click on any other window, or right click. "Saving file" was displayed in the status bar of gedit. After about 10 minutes I got the message "Cinnamon failed > Fallback mode. However, I did not get Fallback, I got nothing but the blue splash screen with no Panel, and right-click did nothing. I used REISUB to reboot. (I did not try Alt-F2) I tried the same process again. The second time gedit did save the file (it seemed slow). I got the same error messages.
