I get the error: 'Failed to lock index buffer in CMeshDX8::LockIndexBuffer' Paged Pool Memory The direct cause of this error is not having enough paged pool memory free for the game engine. Please see the Paged Pool Memory Exhaustion topic for more information. Do Not Alt-Tab While In-game The 'Failed failed to lock index buffer in cmeshdx8::lockindexbuffer gmod to lock index buffer' error may also occur when you Alt+Tab to switch between windows while playing a game and your machine is unable to allocate sufficient memory to render graphics when you switch back to your game window. The best solution for this behavior is to properly exit the game to return to your desktop so you may work with other applications. Sometimes I get "CS:GO.exe stoped working, sometimes failed to lock vertex buffer in cmeshdx8 lockvertexbuffer, sometimes no error shows up. When I´m able to stay at server, weapon skins show normally, but when I start to move or do anything, they turn into green with scales on them. Except M4A1-S turn white. I´ve upgraded my drivers, re-installed game, verified game cache, lowered graphics.
index buffer" rather than "failed to lock vertex buffer" This seems to be happening under the same conditions as the vertex problem (almost randomly midgame), though this time I've only experienced it in Gmod. According to Steam support this happens when you alt+tab and https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=315607 don't have enough memory to render graphics or something, but the thing is I'm not alt+tabbing and I've set the heapsize to 1024000 kb (I have 2gb RAM). I'm at a loss ad to what is causing this. Help? Reply 4th July 2007 Post #3 JTickett July 2007 2 Posts I also have the same problem, but I get this error when launching the game. I get the load failed to screen image, but then the error. A bit of a letdown I've gotta say. I e-mailed Garry the crash logs, and a little description. If I hear anything about a solution, I'll post it here. I tried a few start up options like to use DX 7,8,9 to test those, strangely enough it gave me the exact same message for each one, like it didn't change anything. Still no response from Garry since I sent him crash logs. Reply 24th July 2007 Post #8 cyk November 2006 2 Posts I have this exact problem. I paid $10 for this, and I haven't gotten to play it at all. Reply 6th September 2007 Post #9 lunchbox1337 September 2007 3 Posts This is a problem, one that must be solved. All of us could use a solution. Edit: For me, it's "Start game...Black screen appears like its loading... game dies" Warning appears, and this didn't happen untill approximatly, 3 days ago. I know how it feels to really want to play a game that doesn't work (hint hint Bioshock) Reply 14th October 2007

It starts to load but then quits and gives me this error: Failed to lock vertex buffer in CMeshDX8::LockVertexBuffer Followed by this error message a few seconds later: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Program:...ram files\steam\steamapps\username\half-life 2\hl2.exe R6025 - pur virtual function call Any ideas? edited by Chris Propp on 2009-08-26 13:33 Stefan Dösinger Posted 2009-05-21 09:06 Try to lower the resolution. If that helps, you're running out of faked video memory, maybe because the card detection fails. You can override the amount of video memory we fake with a registry key(HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Videomemory) I think. Set it to e.g. "512" to fake 512 MB of vidmem. (It is a st
