The device doesn't indicate that any downloading has taken place, and when I reboot into recovery it's just the stock recovery. I've successfully flashed a different device before successfully using the same USB port and cable (although an older version of Heimdall, 1.4.0). So, I assume that you are running the Microsoft's Windows operating system. So I let you got to the [ Login above or register to see download links. ]. Then, normally boot your device, plug-in it into your computer and install the drivers. IN ALL CASE, DO NOT INSTALL DRIVERS SUGGESTED BY WINDOWS THROUGH THE WINDOWS UPDATES !!! They are really bad and don't function anymore with the newer phone with 4.x.x and above Android version. If you are a GNU/Linux users, magic! There is no drivers for any usb device needed to install. Everything is recognized on his own and instantly. So if you get that error, just bring your device into download mode again, check whether your device is well plugged-in into the computer and check for the status.
