I'd downloaded the version and did the excact steps from the wiki. But when I try heimdall initialising protocol hangs to flash with Heimdall I get this error: Ubuntu-Laptop:~/Downloads/cm-12.1-20151007-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO333-klte$ sudo heimdall flash --RECOVERY boot.img --no-reboot Heimdall v1.4.1 Copyright (c) 2010-2014 Benjamin Dobell, Glass Echidna http://www.glassechidna.com.au/ This software is provided free of charge. The problem for me was that udev was reserving the phone as a modem when I plugged it in. If you run dmesg and see a line that says "This device cannot do calls on its own. It is not a modem.", then this could work for you. As root, create a file named /etc/u

The device doesn't indicate that any downloading has taken place, and when I reboot into recovery it's just the stock recovery. I've successfully flashed a different device before successfully using the same USB port and cable (although an older version of Heimdall, 1.4.0). So, I assume that you are running the Microsoft's Windows operating system. So I let you got to the [ Login above or register to see download links. ]. Then, normally boot your device, plug-in it into your computer and install the drivers. IN ALL CASE, DO NOT INSTALL DRIVERS SUGGESTED BY WINDOWS THROUGH THE WINDOWS UPDATES !!! They are really bad and don't function anymore with the newer phone with 4.x.x and above Android version. If you are a GNU/Linux users, magic! There is no drivers for any usb device needed to install. Everything is recognized on his own and instantly. So if you get that error, just bring your device into download mode
