FIXED: EVENT ID 3609 : Failed to load plugin Imaaadminss.dll with error 5 Started by Mark Seymour , 03 February ctx121877 2011 - 09:34 AM Login to Reply 1 reply to this topic Mark Seymour Members #1 Mark Seymour 3 posts Posted 03 February 2011 - 09:34 AM We recently had a quite taxing issue with a customers Citrix environment. Following the install of agent software for backups and the servers being rebooted the IMA service failed on every server. We were unable to find much in the way of information on the exact errors we were receiving so thought it best to post up our findings, just in case any others hit the problem in the future.Since the error received was Access Denied and file not found, we used Procmon to monitor for differences between a working server and non working server. Simple process of elimination then lead to the root cause. The Agent install had reset the permissions of a single file: MSVCP71.D

Monitor an unlimited number of servers with $49/year With the current low prices for servers and the need for processing power, even a small company may end up with quite a few of them. If ten years ago it was still http://www.eventid.net/display-eventid-3609-source-IMAService-eventno-4287-phase-1.htm common to see an entire company using just one server, these days that's no longer the case. New computers are added to the network with the understanding that they will be taken care of by the admins. https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28344421/Citrix-Server-IMAService-will-not-start-and-MFCOM-Service-Stick-in-starting.html Keeping an eye on these servers is a tedious, time-consuming process. Even with 5 minutes per server (to check the logs and other parameters), it may take an hour to make sure that everything is ok and no failed to "red lights" are blinking on any of the servers. read more...
