Yet, I get the above error. All references I get about it mentions to complete didFinishLaunchingWithOptions sooner http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18493929/ios-app-failed-to-launch-in-time-0x000000008badf00d-delay-in-applicationdidbec which I have done. Is there any check required for applicationDidBecomeActive? My crash log is here (somehow, I can't symbolicate it with all dsym and app in place, so I can't know which statement is exact culprit. But everyone can see that it is definitely not didFinishLaunchingWithOptions) Exception Type: 00000020 Exception Codes: 0x000000008badf00d Highlighted Thread: 0 Application Specific Information:

It is failing because of the 20 second launch time limit. When opening the app manually I do not get this crash. It appears iOS deploy is pushing the app launch over 20 seconds. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26827809/app-rejection-crash-report-says-failed-to-scene-create-in-time-badf00d-what Failing devices: iPhone 6 with 9.2.1 (13D15) iPhone 6+ with 8.3 (12F70) iPhone 6s+ with 9.2 (13C75) iPhone 5 with iphone app error 9.1 (13B143) Working Devices: iPhone 5 with 8.4 (12H143) iPad Mini 3 with 8.4.1 (12H321) iPhone 5 with 8.4 (12H143) OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 (15D21) XCode Version 7.2.1 (7C1002) ios-deploy commands: ios-deploy version 1.8.5 echo "uninstall game" $iosDeployPath --uninstall --noinstall -t 60 --bundle $BuildPath --id $DeviceId sleep 10 echo "install game" $iosDeployPath -t 60 --bundle $BuildPath --id $DeviceId echo "start game" $iosDeployPath --justlaunch --noinstall --bundle $BuildPath --id $DeviceId What I think is causing the crash: Feb 18 18:00:05 iPhone SpringBoard[58] : Forcing crash report of (reason: 1, description: com.myApp failed to scene-create after 3.88s (launch took 16.12s of total time limit 20.00s)) Full output: Here is the standard output of the command: [....] Waiting up to 60 seconds for iOS device to be connected [....] Using iPhone 6 (GSM) 'iPhone' (c5916c52ff72ab85b3374c8b7c2c6fc103c76361). ------ Debug phase ------ Starting debug of iPhone 6 (GSM) 'iPhone' (c5916c52ff72ab85b3374c8b7c2c6fc103c76361) connected through USB... Unanswered iOS - Visual Studio Locks up on "Launching Application for debugging" «123» Go Posts BrendanZagaeski Brendan Zagaeski USForum Administrator, Xamarin Team Xamurai March 2015 Hi David and Fredy, that most recent issue (from today) sounds like it might be Bug 28027, mentioned on the XamarinVS 3.9.525 and XamarinVS 3.9.483 release threads. To further confirm if you're hitting that same bug (so that I can increase its priority), I'd be curious to know: Does deploying to an iOS simulator succeed (at least most of the time)? Does the problem happen every time you attempt to deploy to an iOS device, or does it occasionally succeed? (In my local tests for bug 28027, I saw successful launches on about 3/16 attempts.) Does the app launch on the device but then the VS debugger never connects to the app? (In my tests, the app starts on the device, but VS never connects.) Thanks in advance. 0 FredyWenger Fredy Wenger CHInsider ✭✭✭✭ April 2015 @BrendanZagaeski: Does deploying to an iOS simulator succeed (at least most of the time)? No, the app is not launched on the device Since weeks I’m also not able to debug to my iPhone 5: The app is deployed to the device and started, the I have a hard crash, whereby the error-message is related to Android I have filled a bug for this, almost a month ago: https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=27776 On Android-device (tablet and phone), I have similar problems (mostly, I can debug only one
