Unfortunately, this article has *nothing* to do with Backup Exec, and I'm certain the Norton Removal Tool won't fix it either. The good news is that it's a relatively easy https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/2783-backup-exec-fix-liveupdate-error-lu1805 fix. Steps (2 total) 1 Re-register Backup Exec with LiveUpdate Open a command prompt and navigate to the Backup Exec program directory (default is C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\). Run the following command: beupdateops.exe -AddBE -OptOut http://itpro.outsidesys.com/2011/02/21/backup-exec-lu1805-liveupdate-was-unable-to-find-any-products-to-update/ This will register Backup Exec with LiveUpdate. It will also update the configuration so updates only run when the LiveUpdate process is initiated from inside Backup Exec. 2 Run LiveUpdate Again Close the failed to command prompt window, reopen Backup Exec, and try the LiveUpdate process once more. It should work now. Conclusion That's it! I'm not sure exactly why this happens, but the above process has fixed the LU1805 error every time I've seen it. 1 Comment Anaheim Lyka Baws Jun 6, 2012 at 02:03am This fixed the issue I was having with Live Update.
