I am trying to use EPO 5.1.1 to deploy https://jamfnation.jamfsoftware.com/discussion.html?id=10258 the agent client on domain PCs. I have around 60 PC listed within EPO and about a 1/3 of them actually completed the deployment successfully. 1/3 of them say they are completed but the machines status failed to never changes from unmanaged to managed and when I click on the systemname for one of these computers it shows no indication that is actually has the client installed. The 1/3 straight up fail and give me a error like below:Starting deployment to computer "systemname" through the Agent Handler servername.domain.local Failed to authenticate with remote system, system error: The network path was not found. Failed to authenticate with remote system, system error: failed to authenticate The network path was not found. Expired. The task will be stopped.these are all domain computers and I am using domain admin credentials so I am not sure why it is failing? Any ideas?Thank youColin I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 1817Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 11 replies 1. Re: EPO 5.1.1 failed agent deploy Richard Carpenter Oct 5, 2015 4:12 PM (in response to c.estes) Hi c.estesThe log you have provided indicates that the Network Path cannot be found. This is normally down to either Name Resolution of the system name by the ePO server, or that TCP 139 & 445 are not open from the ePO server to the System to copy the Windows Agent exe file to the system.Try using nslookup from your ePO server to resolve the system name using NetBIOS (unqualified name), if this fails check the DNS settings on the IP configurations of the ePO server and the FQDN suffix list.If name resolution works, check that the ePO server can get to the remote system on port TCP 445.RegardsRichMcAfee Volunteer ModeratorCertified McAfe

So I have the default installation script the McAfee administrator gave us, but the script requires user input in order to function (need to type "-i" for a fresh install). How can I edit the script so it defaults this this option automatically and starts the install? Heres the install script I am working with: #!/bin/sh###getopt for command line arguments.###Handle the following### -i install, rpm ivh### -u upgrade, rpm Uvh )### -b upgrade but no server info### -c cloud config path (option for internal usage in bootstrap)### -h help PATH=/usr/bin:/binumask 022NATIVE_INSTALLER_FILE=MFEcma.dmg #NATIVE_INSTALL_PACKAGE_NAME_HEREcommand=$0 install=upgrade=extract=directory=unzip_exe_size=104088cloud= usage()\{ echo "Usage: $command [-i|-u|-b|-h ]" echo "-i : fresh install " echo "-u : upgrade install" echo "-b :Upgrade Agent only , no server info will be updated" echo "-h : show this help" echo ""\} user=id | cut -d'=' -f2 | cut -d( -f1\if [ $user -ne 0 ]; then echo "This package needs root authentication to install." exit 1fi ###BZ 392336 Bail out
