Java Update
every time it gets to the "Done Loading." screen. I've already updated everything from Java, to Minecraft itself, to the entirety of Windows. (FYI, Windows 7 64-Bit) nothing has changed. The answer is not to update something or other, and if you suggest it, I may just shoot up my college. Does anyone have a real answer to this? PLEASE!! The error first started with the download java 1.6 update, and since then I've sort of given up, but now that Adventure mode is due to be released soon, I need to play some Minecraft. (Fatal Java Error FIX!!!) for minecraft or spiral knights Ok, ive read many (and i mean MANY) forums, and it seems i have found a fix to the hs_err_pid fatal java errors, people are encountering when playing minecraft or spiral knights. It seems the problem is between ati failed to drivers and java. You will need the following: Hard-drive to back up (optional) driver cleaner pro - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/se...leaner_pro.cfm ccleaner - http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER Ok so the hard drive is optional, back-up if you want. create a system image and back up is recommended. So first thing is to uninstall both java and ati from your computer/laptop. After that is completed, it may ask you to reboot. Click on reboot now. If it doesn't ask you failed to write then reboot anyway. When you computer is turned back on, you will require to open ccleaner and driver cleaner pro. In ccleaner click on the registry tab on the let and click scan and fix errors. In driver pro, find all the ATI drivers and click on clean. Next is to go to device manager. expand display adapters and right click on your GPU (in my case its ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5800 Series). click on the driver tab and click on uninstall. your screen will go funny as it has uninstalled your dedicated gpu and switched to onboard gpu which cannot support HD. Restart and wait a while as windows is installing the new device. Go to AMD's website and download the latest driver package. Install. Restart. Install Java. and it should fix the problem. In short: 1.Uninstall java and amd driver. 2.Use ccleaner and driver cleaner pro to delete registry keys and other files. 3.Restart. 4.Device Manager and uninstall your GPU under display adapters. 5.Restart and it will install your gpu again. 6. Install AMD latest drivers and then install java 7. feedback and issues and enjoying minecraft or spiral knights i hope it worked for you guys, please let me know if it did work or any problems you have encountered. Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Advertisement Raynor1219 Thread Starter Joined: Oct 18, 2012 Messages: 2 I've been having this problem for several months now, and every solution I have tried to fix it has failed. When running programs that rely on Java (such as Minecraft, PokeMMO, etc.) the game will not run, and creates an "hs_err_pid" error where the application file is. Below is a list of the solutions I have tried and my system information. System Info: ASUS Notebook G73Jh Series Windows 7 Home Premium (64 Bit) Service Pack 1 Intel Core i7 CPU Q720 @ 1.60GHz 6.00 GB RAM ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 446 GB Hard Disk (243 Free) Direct X 10 Solutions Tried: Uninstalling and Re-installing Java Rebooting my Computer (Several Times) Uninstalling and completely removing the application Uninstalling and completely removing Java Using an older version of Java(only as far back as Java 6) Completely restoring my computer to factory default Here is the most recent error. I am currently using Java 6, Update 37 (64 bit). I know this is not the most recent version, but Java 7, Update 9 (64 bit) was also not working. # # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: # # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x000000006903d218, pid=6400, tid=6436 # # JRE version: 6.0_37-b06 # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (20.12-b01 mixed mode windows-amd64 compressed oops) # Problematic frame: # C [atio6axx.dll+0xd218] # # If you would like to submit a bug report, please visit: # http://java.sun.com/webapps/bugreport/crash.jsp # The crash happened outside the Java Virtual Machine in native code. # See problematic frame for where to report the bug. # --------------- T H R E A D --------------- Current thread (0x000000000023b000): JavaThread "main" [_thread_in_native, id=6436, stack(0x0000000002480000,0x0000000002580000)] siginfo: ExceptionCo
