How To Fix Failed To Bind Port
to post a solution for all of those. Just to make sure: The message has generally NOTHING to do with your router or port-forwarding! Common solutions The problem is that another instance of the server is already running on that port. If you can't find the console to that port it may have crashed. To solve that you need to go to your taskmanager the exception was: java.net.bindexception: cannot assign requested address: bind and look for a java process and terminate it. If you have entered something in "server-ip=" in the server.properties file REMOVE IT!The local firewall of your computer could be blocking it. Add .jar/java/javaw as an exception. Other solutions The problem can also occur when you aren't connected to any network. You need to make sure that you are connected to your router. Try the following steps: Restart your computerRenew your ipconfigOpen the network and sharing center and Troubleshoot problems (ik that the troubleshooter is sucky in windows but it can help setting up a connection.Check if you have your network drivers installed If nothing works you can try changing the port in the server.properties and check that. If it works then it'll be most likely that something is using the port already (another server/application). If it still doesn't work it's probably firewall issue. You can try disabling it or adding an exception to .jar, java and/or javaw If you have any other solutions or that doesn't fix your problem please post it here and I will try to help and resolve the problem. As long as you don't run minecraft_server.xyz.jar there is no server. Make sure the other server is shut down, using either the /stop command or by killing all java/javaw processes. –MrLemon May 28 '14 at 8:34 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 3 down vote Go to your server.properties and make sure "server.ip=" is empty. server-ip= Make sure the port you are trying to use for the server isn't being used elsewhere. share|improve this answer edited May 27 '14 at 23:05 answered May 27 '14 at 22:57 Caleb 7,65252352 I remember doing that on my other server and I did it to mine a while back but it still doesn't work. –Snoflake4101 May 27 '14 at 23:17 So your still having the problem? –Caleb May 28 '14 at 0:10 Yes, do I have to use a different computer?
