Sometimes it fails instantly other times it fails after 50% of the pull. Nothing has changed on the network. I am running EPO 4.0, i upgraded it to patch 4 to see if failed to it would help but no such luck. When it fails i get this error message: Failed to download file catalog.z from site ftp.nai.com:21, error code 4 ( The system cannot open the file. )I have tried pulling it from the http site, but it fails as well, Failed to download file catalog.z from site update.nai.com:80, error code 2 ( The system cannot find the file specified. ) 4586Views failed to validate Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Trying to update the master repository via HTTP or FTP fail. Sometimes right away, other times it gets about halfway, the stops.Download file 55915592avv.gem from site McAfeeFtp::Current\VSCANDAT1000\DAT\0000 failed, hr=-1800Additional errors I'm finding in the EpoApSvr.log file,"Verify file delta.ini size and hash failed", (also for other files, i.e., gdeltaavv.ini.)Also running EPO 4, SP4 with 8.7 Clients, (Server 2008)Tried deleting the .dat from the repository, but that didn't help.Manual pulls fail as wellHowever if I wait until later in the day, say after 10:30 AM PST, it will work.Anyone else having this much fun? RE: setting up HTTP fallback repository tonyb99 Jul 8, 2008 5:20 AM (in response to galantico) An additional http repo would usually update from the orginal epo server.setting this is up is page 107-108 of the EPO 4.00 product guide. RE: setting up HTTP fallback repository galantico Jul 8, 2008 8:22 PM (in response to metalhead) metalhead : what do you mean by a manual repository?tonyb99 : our setup is such that the epo server facing the internet (EXT) will mirror from NAI, then transfer the package over to the intranet where the epo server there (INT) will host the package on itself. the ePO on INT will pull updates from INT itself and serve it to the clients on the intranet. there is yet another server (SerA) on the intranet too that grabs the file transferred from EXT and host it on itself. this repository used to be UNC but now they've decided to remove it and change it to HTTP.my problem is : the HTTP doesn't seemed to work. will you be able to advise where went wrong? IIS Settings? Folder Permissions?FYI : this HTTP repository doesn't allow Directory Browsing. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 4. RE: setting up HTTP fallback repository metalhead Jul 9, 2008 3:01 PM (in response to galantico) You can add a repository when editing the McAfee agent policy - this will be a so called "local" repository as it will not be replicated with the epo masterrepository. For a local repository you must take care of filling it with the proper update files. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 5.
