I keep getting an error message, below. "Failed to register a VB Script DLL. Reinstall or run Regsvr32.exe Vbscript.dll to self register. An error occured while creating a form." I have tried to run the regsvr32 command indicated, uninstall/reinstall, even ran CCleaner after uninstall, still same error. Even tried to install Outlook 2003 to see if it might fix the problem. No luck. Saw a comment on Google about setting the Office Language to English. Well it was on English US, tried English Canada, same. Then reset back to English US, same problem still. Any solution to this? Francis, Feb 16, 2007. Francis Guest Hello All, I have an office 2007 suite running on Vista Home Premium and encountered problem with Outlook 2007 as follows:- http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/outlook-2007-cannot-be-opened-vbscript-dll-not-registered-0x80004005-error.2967429/ When I tried opening Outlook, an error message requesting Vbscript.dll registration appears. And when I ran the command in "RUN", I got a further error message : called DllRegisterServer failed + 0x80004005. I have tried the following solutions but still cannot open Outlook:- Solution A: registering Vbscript.dll by searching for [cmd], right click on it to "run as administrator", type "Regsvr32.exe failed to Vbscript.dll" in the black screen, close [cmd] and run Outlook Solution B : create a new mail profile by adding a new profile in "Mail Setup" found in "Control Panel" / "User Account" Solution C : create a new "User Account" as administrator Solution D : create a new "User Account" as a user. Can anyone kindly shed some light on what failed to register else can I try? Thank you very much in advance. Warm Regards, Francis Francis, Feb 16, 2007 #1 Advertisements Guest Guest RE: Outlook 2007 cannot be opened ~ Vbscript.dll not registered + 0x80 exactly the same thing happened to me, load up office's langage setting tools, change ur default lang to english and see. it worked for me.
