Go to /program files/Microsoft Office/Office 12 and run scan SCANPST.EXE as Administrator.3. You will find your PST file (if you have not changed it) in YOU/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Outlook/ (You can check this location by using FILE->Manage Data Files in outlook but don't forget to close it after).4. Allow the file to scan and fix the issues.5. Restart Outlook.Hope that helpsRolf Greenwww.intelligence-international.com.au Proposed as answer by PSS76 Thursday, February 23, 2012 2:36 PM Sunday, April 26, 2009 1:21 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Thanks for your replyit was due to the antivirus may be the proactive defence or the firewall in my antivirus I am not certain of which one that makes the issueAhmed Badrwww.valuesys.net Sunday, April 26, 2009 8:45 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote

Solved The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server... error in Outlook 2K Posted on 2010-02-04 Outlook MS Applications Windows XP 1 Verified Solution 7 Comments 1,363 Views failed to Last Modified: 2012-05-08 I have a machine with Microsoft XP Home SP3 with Office 2000 installed on it. The outlook on this computer was working fine until couple days ago. Now, unexpectedly it is giving me an error with error message "The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the serve. (Account:'abc@xyz.com', POP3 Server: 'POP.xyzmail.com', Error Number: 0x800ccc0f)" Interestingly, when I close the Outlook and re-start the application, it will send and receive failed to update all the emails as usual. I get this error when I leave it on for few mins. I am unsure, as to at what time this error starts. I have set the outlook to check mails from server ever 1 min and send the outgoing mails immediately. This is getting very annoyed as I have to re-start outlook every time I need to check my mails. Any help is greatly appreciated..
