Solved The permissions for this GPO in the sysvol folder are inconsistent with those in active directory Posted on 2010-04-28 SBS Active Directory Windows Server 2003 1 Verified Solution 3 Comments 10,064 Views Last Modified: 2012-05-09 Many have apparently experienced this error, but I find no https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26103814/The-permissions-for-this-GPO-in-the-sysvol-folder-are-inconsistent-with-those-in-active-directory.html credible cause/solution? This started occurring for me the other day after creating a Group Policy. I didn't do anything unusual and now anytime I go into the Group Policy management console and click on a GP, I get the error below. Clicking OK bypasses the error and everything seems fine, but it happens again whenever I select the same or another GPO. The KB article doesn't really apply since we're already running Windows 2003 SP2. "The permissions for this gpo in the sysvol folder are inconsistent with those in active directory. It is recommended that these permissions be consistent. Contact an administrator who has rights to modify security on this GPO. http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=20066 " 0 Question by:dkraut Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 24 Best Solution byAwinish http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814338 Go to Solution 3 Comments LVL 24 Overall: Level 24 Active Directory 23 Windows Server 2003 15 SBS 6 Message Accepted Solution by:Awinish2010-04-28 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814338 0 LVL 24 Overall: Level 24 Active Directory
