of days reading this forum, Google, and on the phone with Kaspersky support and I can not resolve this issue. So to keep a long story short, I will try to https://forum.kaspersky.com/lofiversion/index.php/t62109.html keep this as simple as possible, and any help/ assistance received would be greatly appreciated. So to begin, I installed the KAV Admin Kit on a Windows 2003 Standard Edition Server with SP2. I installed KAV 6.0 for Windows Servers, and let the server sit for the night while it ran its scan. The next day I deployed KAV 6.0 for Windows Workstations onto 3 Windows XP SP2 workstations. Two workstations installed failed to fine without any apparent problems. One workstation blue screened to the point that I didn’t know what else to do but remove Kaspersky AV from the computer in hopes that it would at least boot; which it did.So the problem is that I have 4 computers; 1 Server and 3 workstations that give me the following error:Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: Service Control ManagerEvent Category: NoneEvent ID: 7023Date: 2/28/2008Time: 7:41:51 AMUser: N/AComputer: protocol engine ikev2 ###############Description:The Remote Access Connection Manager service terminated with the following error: Access is denied. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.Basically I can not create any VPN Connection on ANY of the computers. So I removed Kaspersky from the computers and I STILL can not create a VPN Connection. By this I mean that the ability to create a new VPN (or Dial-up) connection is Grayed out.So I used Google, Checked these forums, the Knowledgebase, called Tech Support for 2 days now, and I still can not resolve this issue which only became an issue after installing Kaspersky onto my computers. Below are all of the Troubleshooting steps I have taken to try to resolve this problem and unfortunately none of them have worked.1. http://www.derkeiler.com/Newsgroups/micros...03-09/4692.html2. http://www.chicagotech.net/vpnissues/vpnunavailable.htm3. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;3294414. <*Snip*> We would like you to try to run Microsoft’s System File Checker. You need the Windows CD-ROM used to build the computer’s image to run it. The command to run this utility is: sfc /scannow. Do this in a DOS command prompt. It will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes to run and again you must have the Windows CD used to create the image or the utility will not work. <*Snip*>So to wrap this up, I don’t
