About the same time, I notice corrupted files (PHP WEB FILES). The array is mounted as /share. *If you're wondering why I have all the drives on the same controller, I've been having some problems with the software RAID 5 in linux. If the drives are not on the same controller then I get data corruption (as shown by comparing md5sums after file copies). Everything works fine individually, everything works fine in RAID 0, I get corruption in RAID 4 and 5 unless all drives are kept on the same controller. I d

Its been years since I ran ext* but I don't think it can hurt to do another fsck with the filesystem totally unmounted. That means that if this is the / filesystem, you need to use a rescue media not just the boot-time fsck while its mounted ro.
