Hello, Did anyone see this before? cccredmgr(2140): Warning: OpenProcessToken failed: Error 5: No additional description available how to open clearcase control panel: for this system error. It seems ClearCase servers(on Windows 2000) getting slow recently. Thanks a lot! How To Start Albd_server In Windows

It was being thrown once per hour. I found that disabling Symantec Antivirus Tamper Protection (in Symantec 10 ~ Configure>Tamper Protection) prevents the error and allows cccredmgr to do its cleanup (although personally I would rather have this anti-virus option on). I don't know why the two are conflicting but I know Rational Support has suggested disabling Tamper Protection in the past for a BSOD issue: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21219321 I hope this helps. Broker Daemon; ALBD; System error 1067 has occurred; net start albd Technote (FAQ) Question Is there a collection of knowledge which attempts to address some possible causes and solutions https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=134166 related to starting the IBM Rational ClearCase Atria Location Broker Daemon (ALBD) server service on Microsoft Windows? Answer The troubleshooting steps below for each error are the culmination of different approaches that have been taken to solve the particular problem. The error is generic but the solutions are specific to the environment from which the problem occurs, therefore http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21177467 the steps below span multiple environments. The steps are NOT numbered by priority or order because any solution or combination of solutions for the given error may need to be applied to solve your issue depending on your Windows configuration. When the ALBD service fails to start, or terminates immediately after startup it may become necessary to assist support in troubleshooting your issue. If the ALBD appears to start successfully on bootup (meaning that you are not getting the "one or more services did not start successfully" message) but is stopped by the time you log in, check the application event log for ClearCase errors. In most cases of this nature, you can follow the steps in the "Error 1067" section below. In order to determine the cause of the failure, the first place to look is the System Event Viewer log. In many cases, the Service Control Manager will report an error starting the ALBD. The possible error messages are: Error 0005 Error 109 Error 1053 Error 1057 Error 1058 Error 1067 Erro

This is something I want to put in a Perl or DOS script, so it would have to be a non-GUI solution. windows clearcase share|improve this question asked Feb 22 '12 at 6:41 UhClem 478 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted See this technote "Start and stop ClearCase from the Windows command line", and note that albd isn't the only service clearcase control panel you should be checking. And if you have trouble starting albd on Windows, see "Troubleshooting ALBD startup failures on Windows". CLEARCASE The ClearCase server processes (Location Broker, Lock Manager, and Credentials Manager services) can be started and stopped from the command line; however, the MVFS is loaded directly into the kernel and cannot be shut down from the command line. To reload the MVFS, restart the host; see technote 1230196 for more details About the MultiVersion File System (MVFS).
