Veröffentlicht am 21.03.2015In this tutorial, you'll learn how to overcome SP2-0110: Cannot create save file "afiedt.buf"".PL/SQL (Procedural Language/Structured Query Language) is Oracle Corporation's procedural extension for SQL and the Oracle relational database. PL/SQL is available in Oracle Database (since version 7), TimesTen in-memory database (since version 11.2.1), and IBM DB2 (since version 9.7).[1] Oracle Corporation usually extends PL/SQL functionality with each successive release of the Oracle Database.PL/SQL includes procedural language elements such as conditions and loops. It allows declaration of constants and variables, procedures and functions, types and variables of those types, and triggers. It can handle exceptions (runtime errors). Arrays are supported involving the use of PL/SQL collections. Implementations from version 8 of Oracle Database onwards have included features associated with object-orientation. One can create PL/SQL units such as procedures, functions, packages, types, and triggers, which are stored

line) we execute resides in the buffer temporarily and it is lost when we execute new query/command because new one takes that place. In case we try to edit that query/command which is in the buffer we get an error "SP2-0110: Cannot create save file "afiedt.buf"". There are many ways to fix this, I'm going to show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEmMSPaQCw4 you three different ways. 1. Always run the SQL Command Line as administrator. Once you start this way, you will not see said error. 2. Sometimes we get this error message because we don't have write permission on the current directory. Either start sqlplus from a different directory, or change the editfile entry in sqlplus: SQL>set editfile http://www.itorian.com/2012/08/sp2-0110-cannot-create-save-file.html d:/sqledit.sql In above code, you can use any drive for this and any file name. 3. Create sqledit.sql file and save it in bin directory (sometimes this file misses cause this error) of oracle where sqlplus.exe is resides. Then run sql command line as administrator. Everyone has their preferred toolset for working in the database. One of my co-workers just logs into our AIX server and uses vi. I tend to use the client-side, character-based error 0110 oracle SQL*PLUS on my Windows laptop. Until this week, No problem. Comfortable. I only had one database of our many databases (and that database was only created a month ago) where I would log in and see this when I tried to edit a comment: SQL> ed SP2-0110: Cannot create save file "afiedt.buf" SP2-0110. Arg! No editing. When I needed to work on that particular database over the past few weeks,I "worked around" the issue -- I just pasted my SQL directly into the SQL*PLUS session . HOWEVER, a couple of days back I called our corporate helpdesk on an unrelated issue. The helpdesk remotely logged onto my laptop, deleted all the temporary internet files, and did a few other things. None of which solved the problem I'd called about. That was still there. Yet... YET...AFTERWARD.. EVERY database I logged into threw the error SP2-0110: Cannot create save file "afiedt.buf" Double-arg! I googled and tried lots of advice. 1. Someone in the Oracle forums suggested "change the path directory for a "working" directory". Whatever that means. I'm not a Windows guy. 2. Someone else suggested setting the Windows SQLPATH variable. That's what the documentation a
