How To Install Oem 12c Agent Manually
How to ignore optional prerequisites when installing Oracle database in silent mode? [closed] up vote 2 down vote favorite 1 I was referring to this PAGE to install Oracle 11g database in silent mode. When installing, there were some optional prerequisites which are ignorable: CAUSE: Some of the optional prerequisites are not met. See logs for details. /oratmp/OraInstall2013-12-22_12-14-09PM/installActions2013-12-22_12-14-09PM.log ACTION: Identify the list of oem 13c installation steps failed prerequisite checks from the log: /oratmp/OraInstall2013-12-22_12-14-09PM/installActions2013-12-22_12-14-09PM.log. Then either from the log file or from installation manual find the appropriate configuration to meet the prerequisites and fix it manually. This is different from the GUI based installation method where I can choose to ignore those warnings, however, I didn't see if silent installation provided similar ways to skip those warnings. Any ideas? update: Those failed preconditions were some library files missing, e.g. INFO: INFO: Package: compat-libcap1-1.10: This is a prerequisite condition to test whether the package "compat-libcap1-1.10" is available on the system. INFO: INFO: Severity:IGNORABLE INFO: INFO: OverallStatus:VERIFICATION_FAILED INFO: INFO: Package: ksh-...: This is a prerequisite condition to test whether the package "ksh-..." is available on the system. INFO: INFO: Severity:IGNORABLE INFO: INFO: OverallStatus:VERIFICATION_FAILED I don't have all the necessary privileges to install those packages, so comes to the question. oracle oracle11g silent-installer share|improve this question edited Dec 14 '13 at 1:29 asked Dec 14 '13 at 1:23 Chen Xie 75921027 closed as off-topic by Noel, shellter, Ben, Alex Poole, John Doyle Dec 14 '13 at 14:23 This question does not appear to be about programming within

issues, and their resolutions. Installation Fails with an Abnormal Termination If there is a daily cron job that is running on the system where you are installing Grid Control that cleans up the /tmp/ directory, the installation might fail with an abnormal http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20578648/how-to-ignore-optional-prerequisites-when-installing-oracle-database-in-silent-m termination and the installActions.err file will log the following error: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no nio in java.library.path. The workaround is to set the TMP and TEMP environment variables to a directory other than the default /tmp and execute the ./runInstaller. PERL Environment Variable is Forced on the environment During an Enterprise Manager 10g R2 https://docs.oracle.com/cd/B16240_01/doc/install.102/e10953/app_troubleshooting.htm (10.2.0.2) Installation In a Microsoft Windows environment, if you have an existing PERL5LIB environment variable, the Enterprise Manager Grid Control installation will forcible overwrite this variable, in turn, forcing other applications on this host to use the new Perl version that get installed during the Management Service installation. To work around this issue, rename the existing Perl variable as PERL5LIB_TMP before the OMS installation starts. You can later (after the installation is complete) change the PERL5LIB_TMP variable to PERL5LIB Note: If the Perl environment variable is not set, remove this variable from the Environment Variables. To do this, from the Control Panel, go to Environment Variable under Systems. Installation Fails Due to Network Configuration Issues The installation of Enterprise Manager Grid Control may fail if there are network configuration and connectivity problems. To avoid this issue, do the following: Ensure that the HOSTS file mentions the IP address and full canonical name followed by a s

Posted on May 19, 2014 by Garth http://www.snapdba.com/2014/05/em12c-agent-installation-for-windows-hosts-without-cygwin/ The majority of Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control agent installations https://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8624 are pretty straight forward, just do the usual checks, ensuring firewalls are open etc. and then deploy from the EM console. The Windows installations are not as straight forward these days, as the deployment method uses SSH connectivity which requires the installation and configuration how to of Cygwin as a pre-requisite 🙁 …this is time consuming, confusing at times (if you've not done it before), and isn't needed thereafter, so this post outlines an alternative and quicker way of rolling out the agent to Windows machines, using the silent install method…The example below is based around my EM12c OMS error mandatory checks running from an Oracle Linux 6.4 machine (VM0112), with the agent being deployed to a Windows Server 2003 x64 (64-bit) machine (VM0201).First of all, you need to make sure the software library has already been configured in EM12c. I'd imagine most people at this stage have this setup already, but if not take a look here.Check software availability using EMCLI from OMSWe need to connect to the EM repository using EMCLI and check which agents are available i.e. images that have been downloaded and applied:export OMS_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/middleware/em12cr3/oms export AGENT_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/agent12c/core/12.1.0.3.0 export JAVA_HOME=$AGENT_HOME/jdkLogin as the SYSMAN user:$OMS_HOME/bin/emcli login -username=sysman -password=****** Login successfulFetch a list of agent software available from the the repository:$OMS_HOME/bin/emcli get_supported_platforms ----------------------------------------------- Version = 12.1.0.3.0 Platform = Linux x86-64 ----------------------------------------------- Platforms list displayed successfully. In this example, you can see I only have the agent software available for Linux. If you already have the software, ignore the next section and move onto building the image.Do

I don't think it's a firewall issue. Once I restart the zabbix_agentd service, it restores communication. The server can still telnet to tcp/10050 on the client side. The client still has zabbix_agentd running: zabbix 24885 1 0 10:32 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/bin/zabbix_agentd zabbix 24887 24885 0 10:32 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/bin/zabbix_agentd zabbix 24888 24885 0 10:32 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/bin/zabbix_agentd zabbix 24889 24885 0 10:32 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/bin/zabbix_agentd zabbix 24890 24885 0 10:32 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/bin/zabbix_agentd zabbix 24891 24885 0 10:32 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/bin/zabbix_agentd root 26167 24843 0 11:02 pts/0 00:00:00 grep zabbix This is what's in my zabbix_server.log: 17154:20071228:180739 Parameter [proc.num[zabbix_server]] will be checked after 240 seconds on host [client1] 17156:20071228:180758 Timeout while answering request 17155:20071228:180800 Timeout while answering request 17156:20071228:180810 Get value from agent failed.
