The tech giant’s European boss, Matt Brittin, didn’t know the size of his own salary when he was getting grilled by British lawmakers over Google’s alleged tax avoidance. “It’s a salary, ah, I don’t have the figure,” the squirming exec told a parliamentary committee. hearing was called after Google parent Alphabet Inc. agreed late last month to pay $185 million in taxes going back to 2005 after an audit by the UK's version of the IRS. Plenty of Britons were outraged over the “sweetheart” deal for the Mountain View, Calif.-based company, which has been criticized across Europe for taking advantage of tax loopholes. While attempting to defend the deal, Brittin claimed to “understand the anger” of everyday people who feel the company isn’t paying its fair share of taxes. Some reports have pegged its corporate tax rate at just 3 percent. Meg Hiller, the committee chair, expressed her doubts that he did understand the public outrage and asked to know what he got paid. “I’ll happily disclose that if that is a relevant matter to the committee,” he said. Error: Command sandbox-pod failed with exit code 71 Error output: sandbox-exec: /Users/synergyqa/.rvm/gems/ruby-2.3.0@global/gems/cocoapods-1.0.1/bin/pod: Operation not permitted' I found out some old issues like this so I tried to solve this is: Change how to organize sandbox's permission but get same issue I read about change Ruby version to 2.1.1 or bellow but if I do im not able to use Cocoapods thats require 2.2.2 or further How can I solve this or there is another way to use API GoogleMaps? wdulin commented Sep 7, 2016 • edited I solved this problem by changing NativeScript to avoid using sandbox_exec. Find the config.json file and change "USE_POD_SANDBOX" value to 'false'. Mine was in '/Users/$USER/.npm-packages/lib/node_modules/nativescript/config' but I have my npm global packages installed under my home directory. eppisapia commented Sep 7, 2016 @wdulin i'm not sure of this but isn't sandbox needed to use Api Key Authentication? wdulin commented Sep 8, 2016 • edited @eppisapia my understanding is that the sandbox is used to protect against malicious Pod code. But then I am certainly no expert on building with CocoaPods. There is another thread here about this 1249. eppi
