I have done everything suggested, which I've used before to un-brick 9800/9900's. But this sucker just stays on connecting arm and looses it connection after the initial boot up before error appears. I have tried to catch it, trick it, slap it, but nothing works. Some say this is a hardware fault, some say its a microsoft update issue. If anyone can tell me what causes it and how to fix some other way it be

If you do not have it you can install it from your Blackberry CD or download it from Blackberry.com Open Backup and Restore Click on Backup how to to do a full backup. If you want to perform a selective backup hit Advanced and select which files you would like to save. All files saved have .ipd extension. You need to download the handheld software from your provider's website and run it on your computer. Then, double click on the Application Loader (App Loader) icon and it will install the new clean version of the software (it may take up to 30 how to fix minutes).
