I should have also asked whether or not you can click okay to get around the error and still use your phone? If you can, here is what I'd like you to try. Go to Options > Security > General > Press Menu > Wipe Handheld. Check the box to include third party apps. Click Okay. And then type the word blackberry when it asks you too.
