The memory could not be written. When this appears, my system grinds to a halt until I select one of these choices: Click on OK to terminate the program Click on CANCEL to debug the https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/svchost-exe-application-error-332518/ program It appears in Task Manager as the tenth iteration of svchost.exe, usually showing about 6,000K of Mem Usage. I've searched through a number of fora and FAQ elsewhere, but never found a fix that is directly on point and works. I've seen some comments that relate this to McAfee products, which I do use. Part of the troubleshooting problem is that the error's appears to be random. I can't connect it to any particular program https://forums.techguy.org/threads/svchost-exe-application-error.979649/ usage. It may be tied to some start up function since, at times, it will appear when Windows starts up and the blue "click on your account icon" screen is displayed. Both IE-8 and FireFox-3.6 run very sluggishly when during a session in which this error message appears. The only thing I've done that works is to reboot or shutdown and start up until I find a session that works properly and does not display the error. Any ideas would be helpful. I grew up in the DOS world, and I can follow directions, but I'm not equipped to dive deeply into programming stuff. Thanks for your guidance.
