Mon, 04/14/2014 - 16:57 I am in the process of running a exe file, and shortly after the start of the running the exe stops running and displays a WIndows box headed 'Visual Fortran run-time error' with the following message: forrtl: severe (157): Program Exception - access violation Image PC Routine Line Source roughcal.exe 00412E76 Unknown Unknown Unknown The message only appears when I try to run this exe file. Other .exe files are ok and run very well. Anyone know how to deal with this problem? Recompile with the /traceback option and locate the line(s) of your source code with the access violation. There are many other techniques that are available to help in finding the bug and fixing it, but there is no single and simple method for doing so Top Weilin D. Mon, 04/14/2014 - 17:14 Hi mecej4, Thank you for your advice. But the program run well on others' computer. The problem only occurs on mine. No-one will be able to guess the problem from the description, there are too may possible causes. Top Steve Lionel (Intel) Tue, 04/15/2014 - 14:22 This isn't file related. http://software.intel

I'm looking for the thinnest (lightest!) fixture that we can bolt our parts to that will show an acceptable amount of deformation. My static simulation runs by itself, and the results look good. The problem happens when I run the design study that references back to the simulation. how to fix It gets through the first iteration, and then flashes the followingThinking that it was some sort of missing file issue, I repaired my copy of Solidworks. That didn't seem to fix the issue. I am using the new for 2016 "Intel Direct Sparse" solver, and I think I'll try it with the regular direct sparse to see if that solves the issue. I'm not sure where else to go from here and any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. It looks like there are still some bugs left in the "Intel Direct Sparse" solver, at least as far as running the full design studies. am solving an analysis involving plasticity and includes multiple load steps. During 4th load steps I apply displacement loads using command snippets and "DO" loops. When the simulation start executing the nested "DO" loop, that is when I get the following error "Intel(r) Visual Fortran run-time error". And after that my simulation crashes. While searching about this error on internet I got to know that one of the reasons for this error may be Virus Protection. The simulation generates a file named "file.DO4" for the do loops. I guess, when the virus scan start accessing this file it blocks it from Ansys programs which causes the error. Does anybody have an idea about what may be the exact cause of this error. Are there any ways / causes of getting rid of this error. Thanks for your help. Either temporarily turn off the antivirus software yourself, or ask your IT department to do so (good luck with that). Or as an alternative, perhaps there is a way you can instruct your antivirus software that *.DO* files are "OK". 3) If it is not clear whether the problem is due to your antivirus software or not, manually create an ANSYS MAPDL input file involving nested *DO loops and try it out. The goal is to see if nested *DO loops always encounter a problem, or whether there is something specific to your plasticity analysis with multiple load steps. Start simple and gradually add complexity, maybe eventually going so far as to do a multiple load step plasticity analysis of a simple rectangular block. Personally, I use nested *DO loops on a frequent basis and don't remember having any problems with them in a long, long time.
