Where can I find out what this error code is? Initially I was loading a .3gp video, but then downloaded some sample videos off Apple's web site but playing these results in the same error too. ios uiwebview share|improve this question edited Oct 11 '12 at 6:23 The iOSDev 4,21052460 asked Mar 26 '12 at 22:35 Piepants 81022047 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 3 down vote WebkitErrorDomain Code 204 is Plug-in handled load. It occur because it load video not from UIWebView. Maybe it uses MPInlineMoviePlayerController plugin. share|improve this answer edited Jul 3 '12 at 9:33 Favonius 10.8k23984 answered Jul 3 '12 at 7:17 hanjae 1044 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. WebKitErrorDomain error 204 ??? iphoneDev9 Posts: 4New Users July 2009 edited March 2010 in iOS SDK Development I"m getting the following error when launching mp4 video in media play from a url link in UIWebView. An error occurred: Operation could not be completed. (WebKitErrorDomain error 204) Media play comes up and then the error is displayed. Any ideas on what's going on or how to debug this? Thanks, Chris Post edited by iphoneDev9 on March 20100 · Replies prasadh_raju Posts: 1New Users October 2009 edited October 2009 Chris, I am getting the same error when trying to load wav file using LoadRequest. The wierd thing is that it plays the file http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9880875/what-is-webkiterrordomain-error-code-204 and also calls the didFailLoadWithError delegate. Did you figure out whats going on? 0 · dsr1207 Posts: 1New Users December 2009 edited December 2009 I just started getting this error a day or two ago. I wonder if it was caused by a update of some sort? Dave 0 · jamoid Posts: 1New Users December 2009 edited December 2009 I keep getting this too on the iphone 3gs, it just started about a week ago. I jailbroke the phone and thought this http://iphonedevsdk.com/forum/iphone-sdk-development/23580-webkiterrordomain-error-204.html may have something to do with it, so I restored it back to its original state, and same problem. It seems if you try to stream a video on a web url it gives this error, or even sometimes just a plain black screen Before it would identify the stream - and launch safari I believe. I havent noticed any updates when backing up my phone, of recent in Intunes. Looking forward to having this resolved. Please let me know if any one hears. Also, do any of you experience more glitches after you jailbreak? I lost my network for this first time yesterday which was weird, it was just gone. I had to reboot the phone and it was fine. 0 · drocky Posts: 1New Users March 2010 edited March 2010 dsr1207 wrote: » I just started getting this error a day or two ago. user of the error. This is a bit troublesome, since there are lots of https://happyteamlabs.com/blog/ios-uiwebview-errors-to-look-out-for/ UIWebView errors, and we cannot handle all of them immediately. Silently ignoring the errors would have been better (this just retains what's loaded on the UIWebView, mostly blank, unless some https://groups.google.com/d/topic/taplynx/o1B8eVOimAQ part of the page has already been loaded). But, if you need to display an alert like me, here are some you should look out for. By looking out how to for, I mean that you should handle it such that when the following errors are received, the alert will not be displayed (because they are errors that the user should not be concerned or informed about!). Before that, you handle the errors in the following delegate method: - (void)webView:(UIWebView *)webView didFailLoadWithError:(NSError *)error 1 - (void)webView:(UIWebView *)webView didFailLoadWithError:(NSError *)error how to fix 1. If the URL redirects to another URL, we will receive an NSURLErrorCancelled error. [error.domain isEqualToString:@"NSURLErrorDomain"] && error.code == NSURLErrorCancelled 1 [error.domain isEqualToString:@"NSURLErrorDomain"] && error.code == NSURLErrorCancelled 2. If the page contains links to the AppStore, tapping the link will return an error (but the AppStore link will still be handled by iOS). [error.domain isEqualToString:@"WebKitErrorDomain"] && error.code == 102 1 [error.domain isEqualToString:@"WebKitErrorDomain"] && error.code == 102 3. If the URL is a direct link to a Video/Audio, we will receive an error ("Plug-in handled load") even if the video/audio will play. [error.domain isEqualToString:@"WebKitErrorDomain"] && error.code == 204 1 [error.domain isEqualToString:@"WebKitErrorDomain"] && error.code == 204 That's all for now. Will update this post as soon as new errors that need's to be handled Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...
